We support local nonprofits with 10% of our proceeds and provide healthy foods for our community.

🧄It’s garlic planting time!!🧄

Did you know it’s planted in late October/early November but not harvested until early July?!

As a food grower I’ve learned to plan ahead and that what you plant now will eventually produce a harvest. You may not be able to control the weather, but if you plant good seed in fertile soil, chances are your hard work will pay off🙏🌱💚

I started this dream on a small scale using what I had, only investing in organic restorative methods, and wow I am seeing the proof of this over the years! Focusing on “Quality over quantity” has helped me let go of my scarcity mindset, and embrace the truth that we are living in abundance!💚🌱

H A R V E S T = gather, reap, mature crop of a season, productive result, to win by achievement…

I’ve been quieter, working hard with my hands while meditating on the goodness of The Most High, and appreciating that while this season of my life has been difficult, it’s slowed me down to grieve, learn, grow, focus on what truly matters, and redefine my purpose in how I serve myself and others.

Some of my best lessons come from gardening and farming. It isn’t always pretty, things get stunted or wither, pruning brings new growth, tiny creatures do big damage, others make your yield bigger, and it all has purpose in building an organic ecosystem that doesn’t need chemicals to thrive…less…and enjoy the beauty and harvest while it lasts because the seasons shift and change quickly!

I may not post a lot (honestly some nights I’m outside with a head lamp picking beans getting stung by mosquitos and wasps lol) but I want you all to know I truly appreciate how you all support me at The Brickhouse Market and From Scratch Co-op markets, thank you for helping me do what I love!!

Feeling a bit sad over here…just used the last fresh organic heirloom rainbow tomato on this delicious egg sammie, featuring spicy salad mix and purple kohlrabi microgreens on top and Balila’s fresh homemade pita bread on the bottom.

I am gonna miss these garden tomatoes fresh, but am so grateful I made time to chop and freeze a bunch to make that special flavor last through winter 😌🌱🍅
