Remembering 5 beautiful ASL souls who recently passed
So Farewell Spring 2025,
An unprecedented season of loss in our ASL family.

I’m thankful for the lives of each & every one of you.
Yet this unprecedented, painful season of loss just hurts.

April 6 - June 18, 2025… we lost

Pat (woman)
Bailey (cat)
Cino (chihuahua dog)
Precious (Chinese crested dog)
Cagney (Yorkie dog)

Each of these beautiful souls was a member of the ASL family for over a decade.
Each of them brought tremendous joy to their humans, pet siblings, the ASL family, & to me.

May Summer 2025 be much kinder to us than Spring 2025 has been.

SCENTWORK!
Our competition obedience class is changing it up this month, and will be will be doing scent work for the rest of the month of June. If you would like to join us on Wednesdays at 6:00 pm, the cost will be $60. All levels from beginner to advanced are welcome, we will have Birch and Cypress scents, anise and clove if needed. No prior experience needed, or if you’re currently competing and would like the practice time in a new location, all are welcome! First session is tonight! In loving memory of client & friend Pat Payton.

Pat & her cat family were clients for almost 15 years.

Pat contacted me in the early days of ASL when I used to advertise in the Northland News newspaper & the Clinton Estates neighborhood newsletter.

Pat is preceded in death by her cats Simba & Gracie, who were also ASL clients.

Her most recently adopted cat George has been adopted by her daughter.

Pat always said she would have 3 orange Tom cats in her lifetime.

Not long after Gracie ( a black long haired beauty) passed a few years ago,
an orange cat literally walked into her house… like he was just waiting to go into what he already knew & chose as his home.

Pat had already had 2 orange Tom cats who spent their entire lives with her until they passed.

And the 3rd was a young, neighborhood stray whom she named George.
They were perfect together for years.

I was so lucky & blessed to have known Pat and her cats, and to have had the honor of caring for all of them and their house all these years.

I will miss Pat very much. She was a fantastic person, client, cat mama, & eventually became a trusted friend.
