Our mission is to place every pet that enters our shelter into a loving, permanent home; to motivate our local community to support our shelter, its no-kill mission, and spay-neuter efforts through donation, volunteer, and adoption opportunities...until every pet goes home. We strive to create a community that nurtures and respects companion animals, and to someday see that every pet is loved. In

order to create such a community, Pets Without Parents functions as a pet adoption shelter, carefully placing pets into forever homes. Additionally, we do everything in our power to reduce the pet overpopulation. We can only accomplish our mission by educating the community and sharing our beliefs that we are creating a better world for these wonderful animals.

Our first adoption of 2026 is Windy, the cutie with CH (cerebellar hypoplasia, which causes a wobbly unbalance)! I think this is a great sign to make 2026 a year of laughing at the ungraceful moments, resiliency to get up if you fall over, and a reminder than no cat tree is too tall to climb if you’re willing to try a few times.

We are sad for Eve, so we are sharing her today in hopes of turning her story into a ! Eve was dumped in a cardboard carrier after hours the night before Christmas Eve. This very sweet girl just wants to be loved and feel safe. She will be meeting our veterinarian tomorrow for her adoption- prep vetting. We hope she can spend New Year’s Eve in a new home!

Friday afternoon while getting diagnostics for his heart, Louie took a tour of part of Worthington without a human tour guide. Not cool, dude! This morning he was caught! Huge thanks to all the people we met along our search, the volunteers that braved the cold or helped at the shelter so we could spend more time looking, and Rico Pet Recovery for the trap that ended his adventure safely. We truly worry he would not be back enjoying a game of "snow pile" with his dog friend if not for the team effort!

Captain Needs Care: Upon arrival, it was obvious Captain was almost half the size of his siblings. He was punkier and appeared to have little appetite. We were hoping a quick vet stay and treating his parasites could really perk him up. While we are seeing glimmers of progress, Captain is needing to extend his hospital stay. Squeaking in one more sleepy feel good post to end our Giving Tuesday! Julius was a found abandoned in a carrier. This senior still had a lot of life to live! He made for a perfect office chair attendant and spent most of his days in the staff office. That's how he happened to surprise his new mom by popping by to check on the customer service. The rest is history.

Hello. Regina, here, peaking in at the progress of Giving Tuesday. I'm a cat with a lot to say, so here's a few words. I truly appreciate all the support! As a cat that was found abandoned in a carrier at a Metro Park, I wasn't sure of my future. I'm grateful to the shelter that made a little space and helped me settle in. I'm almost ready for adoption and can't wait to see who they find to be my family.

Meryl walked a twisty trail to find her family! Meryl traveled from a shelter in Texas to a shelter in Ohio. After bouncing through a total of 5 shelters, a short period running Columbus, and being reunited with her biological sister in a foster home, Meryl finally found her forever family through Pets Without Parents. She is now living her best life absolutely adored. While we hope the rest of her story has a little less adventure, we know she's just getting started! Click the link above for more from her moms.

Louie needs YOUR SUPPORT! At only 1 year old, Louie did not receive veterinary care in his previous home. PWP discovered a heart murmur during his veterinary exam. We would like to have Louie seen by a cardiologist to see how to best support Louie's health. We have the goal to raise $800 toward his visit this hour! Our next Happy Tail is one of our favorites (don't tell the others!) We got pretty close to Latte during her longer-than-deserved shelter stay. Luckily for us, Latte never lost hope or smile. In fact, she shared some with us when we needed it. We are so thrilled that her family accidentally fell in love and gave her the life she truly deserves! Sometimes it all makes sense in the end.
