This is extremely generous of them to offer free microchipping, as every pet should be microchipped and have a phone number attached to their collar.
I witness it daily at the clinic, people find dogs with no collar and no microchip, which is truly unfortunate.
Alternatively, the microchip may not be registered and the phone number may not be updated. The next loud, big bang holiday is around the corner.

Fireworks can be frightening for our furry friends and the 4th of July is one of the highest times of the year for lost pets. Let’s keep them safe and bring them home quickly if they go missing.
That’s why we’re offering FREE microchipping for dogs in Muscogee County ONLY!
But please read the instructions carefully and follow them strictly:
✅ IMPORTANT DETAILS & REQUIREMENTS
🔹 Pre-registration is REQUIRED – No exceptions.
👉 If you're not signed up through the official registration link, you will be turned away.
🔹 Limit: 2 dogs per customer
🔹 Dogs must be:
-At least 2 months old
-Healthy
-Friendly
-ON A LEASH (no carriers or off-leash dogs)
📍 Location Instructions – DO NOT ENTER THE BUILDING
➡️ Drive to the Animal Services Division building on our campus
➡️ Pass Building One and the flagpole
➡️ Look for Building Two - the ASD building
➡️ Stay in your car – our staff will meet you at the outdoor station to check you in and give directions
🚗 This is a drive-up event – no walk-ups allowed
Staff will approach your vehicle for instructions – you and your dog stay inside your car until directed
