Midwest BunFest Midwest BunFest is an annual event by Ohio House Rabbit Rescue, a 501(c)(3) non-profit located in Columbus, Ohio. Here ye! That’s right, bunnies are welcome!!!

Here ye! Come one, come all to Midwest BunFest. This is a festival and exposition where participants gather for a common interest — bunnies. The masses will include people looking to pamper their bunnies, those looking to acquire a f

uzzy-love of their own and need information, those who bunny related products to offer and of course, the bunnies themselves. Information and advice on house rabbit support will be offered. On the bunny provider side, we will have bunny rescues, vendors, animal educators, veterinarians, and sponsors. On the seeker side, we have bunny parents, the bunnies themselves, and bunny lovers. Events will include: educational presentations (yak yak), the Bunny Spa (mani/pedi and hare), Glamour Shots (say cheese!), a rabbit supply store (yum yum), and a silent auction (shh!) Ohio House Rabbit Rescue is the official sponsor for Midwest Bunfest. OHRR has partnered with rabbit rescues across Ohio and the surrounding states to build a network of individuals, organizations, and corporate partners to improve bunny welfare in our community. This event is the first of its kind in the Midwest and will be held in Columbus, Ohio. Let the first annual Midwest Bunfest begin!

Save the Date: Midwest BunFest is Sunday, October 26th!

It will be held from 10am - 4pm at the Makoy in Hilliard, Ohio.

At Midwest BunFest you’ll find our amazing Sponsors, Rescue Partners, & Vendors. There will also be a silent auction, raffle, OHRR Hop Shop, bunny spa, bunny glamour shots, and the Chillaxabun Lounge, where your bunny can chill; equipped with hay, water, and a hidey house to relax. There are educational sessions throughout the whole day, and you’ll be surrounded by a wonderful rescue rabbit community!

🚨 Bunny Lu desperately needs your help to continue operating!!

We are calling on Augusta County to reconsider their recent decision deeming the rescue’s operations “non-compliant” with current zoning regulations. This decision threatens to shut down the rescue, putting countless rabbits at risk and leaving our community without an essential animal welfare resource.

For 26 years, Bunny Lu has provided a safe haven for abandoned, neglected, and surrendered rabbits. The rescue works tirelessly to rehabilitate and rehome rabbits while also educating the public about proper rabbit care and responsible pet ownership. The compassionate work being done here is invaluable to our community—and it must be protected.

Without Bunny Lu, local shelters will be further overwhelmed, and many rabbits in need will have nowhere to go. With only 30 days to appeal the decision, time is running out to ensure this rescue can continue its mission of saving lives.

We need your help! By signing this petition, you are showing your support for Bunny Lu and urging Augusta County to allow the rescue to continue operating. Together, we can send a powerful message that the rescue is an irreplaceable part of our community—and it must be saved.
