All American Youth Horse Show

The AAYHS is looking for a Caterer! Sadly our caterer for the Youth Show staff is retiring.

This is what we're looking for:
* Prepared meals & drinks for AAYHS Staff (30-40) people for 5 days.
* 1 day Lunch & Dinner, 3 days Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner, 1 day Breakfast & Lunch. Snacks for in between meals!
* Caterer will need to provide or rent tents and possibly tables & chairs, refrigeration unit(s) and stove.
* Caterer will be responsible for set up/take down, purchasing all food & drink items prior to the show, and keeping receipts for reimbursement or provide a flat rate for all services.
* Caterer must have a vendor's license. AAYHS pays for all electric and camper fee (if needed). NO FOOD TRUCKS!!
* Dates are May 6-10, 2026.

A big THANK YOU!! To all of our exhibitors, parents, vendors, trainers & sponsors!! The 56th All American Youth Horse Show is in the books! Despite the construction, lack of hot water or no water, our staff using their cell phones to communicate all weekend, we all survived. The results and score sheets will all be posted within the next two weeks. We need to get everything packed and organized, along with getting back to our real jobs, families and animals.

There were a few items left in our lost & found, luckily no phones or car keys this year. So when you start unpacking and realize you are missing something, just shoot us an email at [email protected]. We are not going to post pictures of the lost items as some are valulable and we want to make sure they get to the right person.

MOVE IN DAY -- MAY 14!! It's finally here move in day 2025! As many of you know there is MAJOR construction going on at the Ohio Expo Center. We have been working closely with them to insure the best and easiest way for everyone to get in and get unloaded tomorrow. As you all know or should know, no one can come in before 6AM, not even to bed stalls. When you exit 71 you will be routed to the right (towards Crew Stadium). To get behind the Gilligan: you will go thru the ticket booths and at the stop sign continue towards the campground and turn left on the main road. This will take you out on 17th at gate #10 on the north end of the Gilligan. From there you can park & unload. To get in front of the Gilligan: at the stop sign turn left, this will take you out on 17th were the main gate is. You will drive behind the Celeste and once you pass the new buildings on the right there is an large parking lot in front of Denny Hales. From there you will follow the road in front of Cooper and in front of the Gilligan. Remember too: no vehicles will be allowed behind or in front of the Gilligan unless they have a horse trailer attached. You will be directed to park somewhere else to unload.

We ask that you unload quickly and move your truck & trailers out of the way to avoid people waiting to get in. Don't block people in....that's just rude. Please be patient and helpful!! The Show Office does not open until 9AM, so there's no rush to get your exhibitor packets before then.

Now for the good news!! 17th avenue is closed in between the main gate & 11th Ave. AND we are the only event on the grounds!!

Be aware that there are A LOT of construction going on along with that they will be working at least 2 of the days we are there. The Expo Center is advising that - ALL CAMPERS go in the campground.

Those visiting the Ohio Expo Center from within Columbus may also reach the facility by taking North Fourth Avenue (from the south) or Summit Street (from the north) to 17th or 11th Avenues. Signs and parking attendants will direct guests to the proper parking areas.

Due to unforseen circumstances we will not be holding Ride The Pattern on Wednesday evening. We will still have practices for the trail & ranch trail and fence warm ups as scheduled.

Just a reminder for those who are still emailing their forms. We are packing for the show and will not have access to our email. If you didn't send your forms by now, bring copies to the show. Also our online registration is now closed!! If you still have classes to enter, you will now need to do that at the show.

Anyone who was at our show last year, Quarter Horse Congress or Equine Affaire, the Ohio Expo Center is still under heavy construction and reconstruction!! Just like last year there will be sounds & sights that your horse may not be used to. The Expo Center along with the Construction company have done a fantastic job of insuring pathways (while they may be different) and arenas will be fine for our uses. We ask that you as exhibitors & parents, respect the construction fences and signs.

In regard to camping, with all of the construction the Ohio Expo is recommending all campers go in the campground north of 17th ave.
