✨ Why Grooming Prices Can Vary ✨

One of the questions I hear most is, “Why is my dog’s groom more expensive than someone else’s?”

The simple answer is this: Every dog is different.

Even two dogs of the same breed can require completely different amounts of time, products, and care. That’s why my pricing is listed as “starting at” or “up to” rather than one flat price.

Your dog’s groom is customized based on several factors, including:

🐾 Coat type (double coat, curly coat, wire coat, etc.)
🐾 Coat length and thickness
🐾 Coat condition (matting, impacted undercoat, knots, excessive shedding)
🐾 Size and weight
🐾 Behavior and handling needs
🐾 Length of time between grooming appointments
🐾 Style requested (breed trim, teddy bear trim, hand sc******ng, etc.)
🐾 Extra brushing, deshedding, or de-matting required
🐾 Fleas, heavily soiled coats, or special coat treatments
🐾 The amount of time your dog’s appointment requires

My goal is never to charge more than necessary. My goal is to provide safe, one-on-one, quality grooming while giving every dog the individual care they deserve.

📢 Pricing Update at Doggy Daze Grooming 🐾

Transparency is important to me, so I wanted to explain the reason behind the pricing changes and updated service pricing.

You may notice that many of my prices are now listed as “Starting At” or “Up To” pricing. I wanted to explain why.

No two dogs are the same. Grooming prices can vary based on several factors, including:

🐶 Coat type and length
🐶 Coat condition (matting, impacted undercoat, excessive shedding, etc.)
🐶 Size and weight of the dog
🐶 Behavior and handling requirements
🐶 Frequency of grooming appointments
🐶 Owner requests for specific styles or extensive sc******ng work
🐶 Additional services requested during the appointment

A dog that is maintained on a regular schedule with a healthy coat will often require significantly less time and work than a dog with severe matting, excessive shedding, or a coat that hasn’t been groomed in several months.

By using “Starting At” and “Up To” pricing, I can provide fair pricing for every pet based on the actual time, effort, skill, and products required to complete their groom safely and comfortably.

My goal has always been to provide quality, one-on-one grooming care tailored to each individual pet rather than charging every dog the exact same price regardless of their needs.

This pricing structure allows me to be fair to both clients who maintain their pets on a regular grooming schedule and those whose pets may require additional time and care.
