Now we have all **five** buckle designs ready for our Southern Thumb Arena Buckle Series! We can't wait to award these to our hardworking riders at the end of the series.

🚨 **Horse Show Cancellation – Saturday, July 18** 🚨

After speaking with my veterinarian in Frankenmuth this morning while taking one of my personal horses in, we have made the difficult decision to **cancel tomorrow's horse show**.

As much as we hate to do it, **the health and safety of our horses and everyone attending are more important than any horse show.** With the current air quality concerns, we feel this is the right decision.

We will be working on selecting a **make-up date** and will announce it as soon as possible.

🏆 Our **Buckle Series** will now officially begin on **Saturday, August 8**. We will add another show date later to replace tomorrow's canceled event so the series will still include all planned shows.

Thank you all for your understanding and support. We know this is disappointing, but we appreciate everyone putting the well-being of our horses, riders, spectators, and volunteers first.

🌫️ **Air Quality & Weather Update for Saturday's Horse Show** 🐴

We've had several people asking if Saturday's horse show is being canceled due to the air quality.

At this time, **we are planning to hold the show as scheduled.** Current forecasts indicate the smoke and poor air quality should move out on Friday.

We are also watching the chance of storms. 🌦️ If it's just rain, **we plan to continue with the show.** If a thunderstorm moves through, we'll simply pause the show until it's safe and then continue once the storm has passed.

We will continue monitoring both the air quality and the weather. **If conditions change and we need to cancel, we will make a decision Saturday morning and post an update by 7:00 AM.**

**Sheridan Buckles** has only sent me photos of **3 of our 5 championship buckles** so far, and I couldn't wait to share them with everyone!

🏆 *This Saturday kicks off our 1st of 5 Buckle Series Shows!* 🏆

*2026 Buckle Series Dates:*
📅 July 18
📅 August 8
📅 August 22
📅 September 12
📅 September 19

A few reminders before the show:

💧 *There is NO water available on site.* Please bring plenty of water for yourself and your horses.

🍔 *We will have limited concessions available* throughout the day.

🐴 *ALL horses must have a current negative Coggins test, and proof must be provided before showing.* Unfortunately, we had to turn away a few exhibitors at our last show because they did not have proof of a current negative Coggins. As much as we hate having to do that, *it is required by Michigan state law*, and we must comply.

🐶 *No dogs are allowed on the grounds unless they are service dogs.*

🚩 *Forward Motion Reminder:* Forward motion must be maintained *during all events*, including the flag events. In our last show, we had a few riders stop their horses to pick up flags or turn their horses around to retrieve a missed flag. As we begin the Buckle Series, we will be enforcing this rule more consistently. Please be sure to keep your horse moving forward throughout the pattern. Stopping or turning around to retrieve a missed flag may result in a disqualification at the judge's discretion.

📝 *Show Office:* After the final event, the office will close for approximately *15 minutes* so we can finalize all placings and payouts.

💵 *Payouts: *1st-3rd* All winnings will be combined into *one envelope* and paid out *at the end of the show*, unless you are not entered in all of the day's events. 1st-6th get ribbons!

Thank you to everyone who attended our last show! We appreciate your patience and cooperation. The show ran extremely well, and we were able to finish much earlier than many horse shows. We hope to keep that momentum going throughout the Buckle Series.

We can't wait to see everyone this Saturday! Good luck to all of our riders, and let's have a fun, safe, and successful start to the 2026 Buckle Series!
