Equinosis

Equinosis The Equinosis Q with Lameness Locator is a veterinary diagnostic tool used to objectively measure a horse’s movement. Contact us for more information.

Equinosis, LLC was founded in 2007 in Columbia, Missouri with its first objective to make the Equinosis Q with Lameness Locator® available to equine veterinarians and to elevate the quality of care, health, and well-being of horses. The Equinosis Q's motion variables most likely to measure and quantify lameness were first found using sophisticated data mining search techniques and then tested and

validated with robust neural network classification schemes. Later collaboration between the University of Missouri and the Hiroshima Institute of Technology in Japan adopted this analysis approach to a system of wirelessly-transmitted, body-mounted inertial sensors, ideal for field use. The Q can be used to measure rider effects on lameness, quantify effectiveness of diagnostic nerve & joint blocks, evaluate mild or multiple limb lameness, monitor rehabilitation progress, gauge effectiveness of therapeutics, and assess asymmetry in pre-purchase evaluations. Interested in scheduling an objective lameness evaluation for your horse? Contact us at [email protected] or call 1-855-4-LAMENESS (1.855.453.6363), and we will be more than happy to connect you with an objective lameness evaluator in your area.

We are always excited to hear how veterinarians are leveraging the Equinosis Q in their lameness exams.

Our friends at WestVETS Equine Hospital created this amazing video that shows just how powerful The Q can be when used in conjunction with a veterinarian's expertise.

"I have been a user of the Equinosis® Q with] Lameness Locator® in my practice for multiple years and have found it to be extremely valuable in adding pertinent information in dealing with the complexities of equine lameness. The system provides repeatable information, and I find it most consistent with the clinical presentations."

Yesterday was a beautiful day in Bendigo; perfect conditions for some in depth lameness examinations 🌞
Thanks to Equinosis for visiting us and instructing our vets further. Since purchasing the Equinosis lameness sensors, we have used them on 185 horses, improving our detection, monitoring and treatment of lame horses. Further education allows us to continually improve our skills and service our clients better 😀

Dr. Sieber had a wonderful time training and working with the veterinarians from Murray Veterinary Services and OldBury Equine Clinic!

We hope that all of the attendees were able to come away with a deeper insight into our technology and are able to more affectively leverage the Q system in their examinations. 🐴🐎

Thank you to Equinosis for a fabulous day of advanced lameness diagnosis using the lameness locator. Along with our friends from Oldbury Equine Clinic we learnt so much about how to get the most information from our lameness locators

If you can't measure it, you can't manage it.

Dr. Steve Adair of the University of Tennessee and Dr. Christina Frigast of Eickemeyer demonstrated using the Q to assess and monitor horses as part of the rehabilitation process at a recent CERP course in Hampshire, UK.
