Columbia Canine Sports Center Dog classes offered in six-week sessions. $190 for six-week session. Discounts for seniors over 65 and students for $171 for six-week sessions.

We also offer private training for basic obedience, behavioral problems or sports training. Dog training facility - from starting puppies; training companion dogs to competing with performance dogs (agility, barn hunt, Nosework, rally and obedience). Also, K9 Nosework classes and other specialty classes - conformation, tracking, carting.

The Heat Emergency, Extreme Heat Warning is on until Tuesday evening circa 9 pm. As of now (Monday morning, 11 am the "real temperature" is 89 and the "Feels like" is a balmy 106F. Therefore 1) advocate for your dogs and for you -
2) It is likely that the ONLY classes at CCSC tonight and tomorrow will be those held in the small building (STAR and Advanced Puppy, Coffee Club, daytime Pet Manners, and Scentwork 1).
3) Some classes may be held under special circumstances if they meet on the porch or early, early in the morning - check with you Instructor if you have not heard from them. Otherwise, refer back to point 1.

We will try hard to get in those classes that were missed because of the heat - we are all at the mercy of the weather! Thank you for your patience - apparently we get a bit of a break starting on Wednesday. I will believe it when I feel it!

We are doing the FCAT practice until around 9 AM.

We have a "doggie" garage sale with some good deals on crates, leashes, etc.

Water is back on! The Columbia Water & Light crew were working until at least 8 pm last night and all was good by this morning. So "crises" averted - now it is just plain hot & humid. Preparing for Doggie Double Dip on Saturday morning & the NACSW ORT on Sunday morning. This is the last week of classes for this session - Next week is the break week - If you want a speacial deal on your next class, drop by & register on Saturday between 8-noon. One day only "Christmas in July" oppertunity!

Just in case anyone coming up to Tuesday (July 7) classes -there has been a water main break just up the road by the roofing place. The good crew from Columbia Water & Light say that the repairs will "take several hours". The consequence is that there is no water in the building (so no human toilets :( ). Kathy & I have filled several jugs of water for absolute emergancies & we have bottled water for the dogs. Ever felt like we can't catch a break? At least it is not as hot as last week.
