Take us out to the ball game! ⚾️
Our friends at CVETS Columbia Veterinary Emergency Trauma and Specialty treated our team to a special night out to watch Columbia Fireflies play!! It was a special double header night and we caught the end of the first game, butttt rhe second game got rained out. 🌧
Our team that was able to come out still had so much fun spending time together with our families!
We are so grateful to CVETS for thinking of us and for all that they do! ❤️🐾⚾️

As April is wrapping up Heartworm Awareness Month, we want to remind our clients of the products we have in-office to protect their pets!

For dogs we carry-
🐾 ProHeart 12 Injection- Used as a once yearly injection to protect pets from heartworms year-round, helps with making sure your pet is consistently protected because sometimes life gets in the way and forgotten doses happen!
🐾 Simparica Trio- A once monthly heartworm, flea and tick control chewable. This all-in-one is a favorite of owners who want to get everything together and not have to worry about more than one product.
🐾 Heartgard Plus- A once monthly heartworm prevention that is a tried and true favorite of many of our clients, made into a chew that is so treat-like that most pets eat it with little notice that it's not a normal treat.
🐾 Advantage Multi- A once monthly heartworm & flea control topical treatment that is a great option for our patients who are so picky that all oral options don't work for them!

For cats we carry-
🐾 Revolution Plus- A once monthly heartworm, flea & tick control topical that is another tried & true product we have carried for years! The Revolution family helps protect even the smallest babies with their Revolution puppy/kitten size that we also keep in stock for the itty bitty ones who are a little younger but need protection too.
🐾 Selarid- A once monthly heartworm and flea control topical that has been a great additional option for cats!

South Carolina is in the TOP 5 WORST states for Heartworms!
While heartworms have been diagnosed in all 50 states, our home state of South Carolina is among the top 5 in the country for heartworm diagnosis!

Between there being at least 22 species of mosquitoes that can carry heartworms, migrating wild life, animals being transported for moving, rehoming, and rescue situations- as well as mosquitoes that can travel up to 3 miles. Pets are not safe unless they are on heartworm prevention consistently year-round.
