🚨URGENT🚨

With baby season in full swing and intake numbers climbing daily, the rescue is in urgent need of Fox Valley formula (32/40, 33/30, and 35/32).
Supplies are running critically low, and this formula is vital to the survival, growth, and nutrition of our neonates. 🧡 Fox valley can be found on the wishlist!

Check out this Gift List I just created.

Some women wear crowns.
Some wear mud on their boots, dirt under their nails, and exhaustion behind their eyes.
This photo was taken in the middle of doing what I love most: helping the animals nobody else sees, answering the calls that come at all hours, and trying to give every tiny life a second chance.
It is not glamorous. It is not easy. And some days it is downright heartbreaking.
But there is something incredibly powerful about knowing that your hands are capable of healing.
The same hands that bottle-feed orphaned babies. The same hands that clean wounds. The same hands that hold frightened creatures until they realize they are safe.
And somehow, in the middle of all the chaos, there is still a smile, even if it's a half smile 😏
Purpose has a funny way of making even the hardest days feel meaningful.
Peace, love, and just a tiny bit of wildlife chaos 🧡

OPOSSUMVIGILPHOBIA:
Fear that a baby possum is silently watching you at all times 😳😂

Opossumvigilphobia isn't really a thing, at least not until now because I just made that up 😂

Look closely at the picture 😂

Hi everyone,
The weather took a turn for the worse last night, and a tornado hit the facility late in the night. Thankfully, Wendy and her family are safe, and the animals are okay. Unfortunately, some things were not as fortunate. All of the outside enclosures are gone, and medical supplies that were stored outside are a complete loss. All of Their food, blankets, pack and plays, and many other essential items were destroyed.
In addition, everything that had been saved up to finish the building renovations.. tables, shelves, cabinets, cages, and more have been lost.
Below you’ll find Wendy’s Amazon wishlist, the link to the formula she uses for neonates, and information on ways you can donate.
Donations of old pack and plays, cages, blankets etc are also very helpful!
Any help during this incredibly difficult time would be deeply appreciated. Thank you to everyone who is willing to support and help them begin rebuilding. 🧡🐿️

Hello everyone,
As the organization has shifted its primary focus to wildlife rehabilitation, Wendy will no longer be accepting the intake of domestic ducks. We sincerely appreciate the trust and support we have received from those who have brought ducks in the past.
Thank you for your understanding and for continuing to support the work done by Wendy herself!

Warm regards,
The Second Chances Rehab Team🧡🐿️

With baby season coming up fast and fall babies still flooding in, supplies and formula are absolutely crucial to keep everything running smoothly. Wendy is preparing for an influx of tiny intakes, and every single item truly makes a difference in their care and survival.
If you’d like to help by donating or ordering from the wishlist, it would be so deeply appreciated. Your support directly helps feed, medicate, and properly care for these little ones during their most critical stages.
The link below includes the Amazon wishlist, feeding syringes and ni***es , as well as the specific feeding tubes used for neonates who aren’t quite ready for syringe feeds yet. Thank you for helping us give them the second chance they deserve! 🐿️🧡

This is what 375.00 dollars worth of supplies needed for the animals in care. Minus the cats 😂 The 💲 didn't come from support, it came out of my pocket. I'm not begging for 💲 as some like to suggest, I am a 501c3 which is the exact same thing as any other nonprofit. I'm one person running an entire rehab facility by myself. I do all my intakes, I provide all the medical care needed, I give everything that comes to my rehab the best possible chance at surviving once released back into the wild and it's a lot for 1 person which means by the time I'm done doing all that, I am too exhausted to do anything else that requires thinking. This is also why places like me are often forgotten about, I am a little tiny fish in a really big ocean, and without support I will get swallowed up 😔
