Animal chiropractic care is an alternative method of health care. Veterinary chiropractic care focuses on the musculoskeletal system and how it interacts with the nervous system. The science of chiropractic care has found that a misalignment of joints (different kinds of joints can be found where two or more bones meet) can adversely alter nerve function around the area of misalignment. Altered nerve function can lead to pain, disease, fatigue, muscle weakness, etc. Chiropractic does not replace traditional veterinary medicine, but works well with it. Chiropractic adjustments are a process that works to fix misalignments (subluxations) and restore proper nerve function.
