We have 3 really great TBs available and we’re motivated to find them their homes before winter sets in! Unfortunately, I broke my shoulder a few months ago and will be out of the saddle until spring time. Id like to find them their person instead of having them sit in the field all winter! All 3 are sound and ready to get to work.

All are located in Columbia station Ohio

1. Gilbert (JC:gilcrease) 5 year old 16.2 ottb gelding. Very good boy under saddle despite being quite green, barn favorite that everyone loves to ride. Slight more of a kick ride but doesn’t under stand what leg means so that can change with mileage. He is a cribber controlled with strap. Upper 4 figures.

2. Clay (JC: Clay kicker) 4 year old 16.1-16.2h ottb gelding. Clay has been turned out in my field for over a year due to life circumstances and he is ready for a job! He is responsive under saddle and slightly more go than whoa but we do carry a crop and have to give him the occasional kick. Picks up things quickly and should be a fun project! No vices, Mid 4 figures

3. Maui (mahalo ‘22 not registered with JC). 3 year old 16.1-16.2 gelding. Not raced, registered or broke. This is a horse that will be a great project for someone to start from the ground up. Requires a very experienced trainer to start him under saddle. Happiest when he’s in the field and doesn’t love being stalled, he’d love a pasture board set up! Bottom 4s or OBO.

Clay (jc clay kicker)
4 year old
16.1-16.2 ottb gelding
Columbia station Ohio

Clay is a 4 year old, 16.1-16.2 ottb gelding. This boy is THICK and has a very large barrel to him, he has no problem taking up a riders leg. Clay is easy to handle on the ground and a pleasure to have in the barn. He’s friendly and wants the attention from whoever may have snacks, he is respectful and doesn’t get mouthy when begging! He gets along with every horse in the field and is the bottom or middle of the totem pole. He does well with dominant horses and keeps to himself in the field, but doesn’t mind taking charge if he’s with a passive horse. He did well with my mini in turn out! The best way to describe Clay is that he tends to match the energy of the barn/herd mates. If you have an anxious nervous horse he’ll mimic it but if you have a quiet chill buddies he’ll meld right in.

Even though he’s only 4 and fairly green, he tries hard to figure out what his rider is asking. He’s a happy medium of kick and go, uncomplicated in the bridle, and responsive to the riders leg aids. I think this boy will be a fairly easy restart for an experienced rider.

Clay came to my barn the summer of 2024, I found out I was pregnant shortly after he arrived and made the decision not to start my young horses while pregnant. Clay hung out in the field all winter and spring while I adjusted to new mom life. In July 2025 I was starting my string of young horses and unfortunately came off one (not him) and broke my shoulder. I am once again grounded and Clay is still chilling in the field. He’s had close to a year of turn out due to life circumstances and is more than ready to get into training. Recently, We pulled him out of the field after sitting for 9 months, after a few min on the lunge we hopped right on and picked up where we left off. By ride two he was quiet and relaxed from the start. He excels quickly from each ride!

Clay has no limitations and can go in any direction that his rider wants! Due to his size, age, and current training level I would not recommend him for a beginner, inexperienced or timid rider. This guy will be perfect for an experienced rider who is looking for their next project.

Clay is located in Columbia station Ohio and listed for $6750

Maui (mahalo ‘22) is an unraced, unnamed, unregistered, and basically unbroke 3 year old ottb gelding. He is the definition of a fresh start. He has been barefoot and living in a field during his years and is ready for someone to teach him the ropes.

I have taken the last 10 months off of riding after having a baby and recovering from C section complications. I brought this guy to my farm as a pasture buddy to hang out and keep my other horses company while I recovered. He is bottom of the totem pole, as evident from his bite marks, and does great as a companion for pushier horses. He was quite nervous when he first arrived and it’s been fun to watch him take a deep breath and become so quiet and relaxed to handle. Anyone can turn him out, he follows quietly on a loose lead and easy to lead with a second horse. He stands happily to be loved on and melts into your hands. He has no mouthiness at all and one that the kids love to pet.

Unfortunately maui does have some quirks to him that makes him suitable for a professional only. I will be full disclosure in PM for any of quirks as my main priority is to find him the best and suitable home. One of his biggest quirks is that he does best on pasture board, he can be stalled if needed, but he does stall walk when inside. Due to this I will only consider homes for him that can provide ample turn out. Secondly, even though he is race trained Maui showed to have a panic mode when mounting. He needs a professional rider who can treat him as unbroke and handle a nervous horse when mounting. Please note he is not ready to take a rider at this time so no under saddle video is available.

I have recently broken my shoulder and will be out of the saddle the remainder of the year so i cannot give this guy the time deserves. He is going to be in the bottom 4 figures and only considered to go to the best home for him. Again this is a professional/experienced rider only; no junior, amateur working with a trainer, or first time restarts will be considered.

If you think you have the experience, time and set up to take on a great project send me a message and I will disclose all quirks!

Gilbert (JC: Gilcrease) is a 5 year old 16.2-ish ottb gelding. This guy is as sweet as they come! He always has a kind soft eye and very respectful of your space. I added Gilbert to my sale string after breaking my shoulder so I have not been the one handling him, my non-horsey husband has been his sole care taker. He said he is the easiest horse in the barn and never causes an issue.

Gilbert is super quiet in the field and goes out with my mini. He very rarely runs around, I don’t think I’ve seen him “spicy” at all in the field. He just loves attention and has such a kissable nose.

For both ground work and under saddle, he has absolutely no clue what we’re asking but he really tries to figure it out. My favorite thing about him is that even though he doesn’t know what he’s doing, he doesn’t get flustered or upset. First ride under saddle he needed a few kicks to get into the trot or canter but maintained his engine once he got into the gear. However, for the second ride he was a bit lazier and needed a little more encouragement to stay ahead of the leg. So right now I’ll classify him on the verge of “kick ride” though I think with mileage he’ll become a horse with his own motor. He doesn’t understand contact, bend or well steering quite yet but he has the willingness and personality that I’m sure he’ll catch on quick!

I honestly love this horse and am really regretting not being able to get on him right now, but I’m excited to see how well he progresses in his next career. Just note he is a baby who needs someone who can explain a job to him, so I would not recommend him for a beginner or advanced beginner at this time. Gilbert does require 4 shoes as he gets a bit foot sore if you try and pull the backs, he’ll need a regular farrier schedule to help him grow out some heel in the front. Other than that he is a cribber but managed with a strap.

Located in Columbia station Ohio and $9500.

Major welcome to Gilcrease! Now known as “Gilbert”. This guy had us impressed from the second he stepped off the trailer! He has a super quiet and soft demeanor that loves kisses on his boop-able nose. He will enjoy a little bit of turn out relaxation before we start him under saddle, but man I can’t wait to do a first ride on this one 🥰😍

Junes our favorite time of the year, because now the grass pastures are officially OPEN! it took quite the learning curve on how to manage our sales operation on only 6 acres, but after meticulous pasture rest/seeding/ and rotation our horses get to enjoy lush grass all summer long!

Inspector is a 5 year old, 16.2h ottb gelding. Honestly I could write a novel for this horse as he has so many great attributes. He’s the one in a million type of horse that every sport horse rider needs in their barn. He’s got such a lovely natural way of going, fantastic brain, uncomplicated under saddle, can take a joke over fences, has hauled off property and almost always answers “yes”.

This is the horse that I pull out when you need a fun easy day or if a client of mine needs to borrow a horse for the day. I just had a baby in January 2025 and haven’t ridden since October. I decided last week to pull him out of the field, throw him on a trailer, haul him to a farm he’s never been too and have a friend jump him around his first course even though he hasn’t been ridden is weeks. He was perfect! Hauled like a dream, was curious and alert of his surroundings but never put a hoof out of line. Inspector is a horse that you can have fun going to do things with without being afraid of how they handle themselves.

Under saddle he starts out a little tense in his body and just needs a few laps to take a deep breath and relax into the work. He’s never done anything wrong, just needs a sympathetic rider who can give him a good warm up. Once he takes that deep breath he’s very straightforward. He’s a forward responsive ride that goes without question and has solid breaks. He’ll travel on the contact and has no problem using his back and lifting uphill. Over fences he is very consistent and doesn’t speed up before during or after a fence. He doesn’t care if you put him in a bad spot and doesn’t hold it against his rider.

I really think this guy would make a great event horse and will match his riders ambition. Want to just stick to low levels and have fun? Sure! Want to try and run some bigger levels? Why not let’s do it! Inspector really tried hard to please and truely doesn’t want to let his rider down.

I really love this horse and can just describe him as “perfect”. He is fancy enough for a pro to run big level or he is level headed enough to be the ultimate packer and amateurs heart horse. While he is a perfect boy, he is still green and needs lots more mileage for him, due to this he is NOT suitable for a timid, inexperienced, non-confident or beginner rider.

We currently have 3 really great sport horse prospects available all sound and can go in any direction. I am currently 7 months pregnant and would love to lighten the barn work before my non-horsey husband takes over of the barn for the next few months. Now is an excellent time to find your winter project so you’re ready for the show ring come spring! Please note- I am currently restricted on all riding and limited on physical activity so no new videos will be available.

1. Inspector - 4 year old 16.2-16.3 OTTB gelding. Uncomplicated both on the ground and under saddle. Forward athletic but responsive ride. Has been free jumped 3’6” and jumped under saddle 2’6”. He has a natural balance to his canter that makes it easy to see a fence out of but doesn’t get offended if you make a mistake. High 🥕,🥕🥕🥕.

2. Clay kicker - 3 year old 16.1-16.2 ottb gelding. He is THICK and has quite a bit of growing left to do, so he will have no problem taking up the leg for a taller rider. He is forward under saddle and quite green as he’s only 3 but he’s very willing. Has not seen poles yet and won’t see them till he grows up a bit. Should make a fun project horse for a competent rider! Mid 🥕,🥕🥕🥕.

3. Poppy - 5 year old 16h ottb gelding. This guy has been with me since summer of last year. He has been mostly on the back burner and has received plenty of turn out and let down time. He has clean legs with no known prior injuries, happily going barefoot. Hes been free jumped 3’6” with ease but has not been jumped under saddle. Hes a forward ride, responsive to leg and likes a quiet hand. I’d love to find this guy his person ASAP so he is low 🥕,🥕🥕🥕 starting with a 2.

Poppy B
5 year old, ottb, gelding
Columbia station, Ohio
Clean legs and barefoot!
💲2️⃣7️⃣5️⃣0️⃣ firm

Poppy B is a 5 year old, approx 16h ottb gelding. This boy has it all; the looks, temperament and athleticism. He just screams sport horse and I can really see him killing it in the show ring! Poppy has been with me since last summer and has had plenty of let down time and a chance to fill out. He is a super easy keeper and has packed on quite a bit of weight since being here. We pulled his shoes when the ground turned to pure mud and he never had an off day! The plan is to leave him barefoot until the ground gets hard again.

Last fall/summer poppy B had a ton of turn out with friends, he was the bottom of the pack and one that I knew could go out with any horse. He was incredibly easy to handle in any respect and anyone could bring him in or turn him out. Now that we’re in the tail end of winter, poppy has a bit of spring fever and is anxious to get back to full day turn out. He can be a bit mouthy/nippy and needs an occasional reminder about boundaries. He would be fine for someone who is comfortable handling young horses but not suitable for an inexperienced beginner.

Under saddle poppy is a forward thinking horse that rides off of the leg/seat. He’s still figuring out how to accept a consistent connection in the bridle and prefers a rider with a quiet soft hand. He can sometimes try to avoid the contact by tossing his head but responds nicely when the rider adds leg and pushes him forward into the connection. He is not the type that you can “force” into the connection with the hand as he forgets about his feet and focuses on his mouth.

note: poppy does have non-clinical kissing spine. He has absolutely NO symptoms and it was only found during a PPE with baseline X-rays. He does not get any form of maintenance or special treatment for it right now. He is happy to go forward and work without question and doesn’t mind you poking and prodding his back. He is willing and happy to stretch and use his back without issue. We would most likely have never known he has KS without blind X-rays! His 🥕 has been adjusted with the finding and an absolute steal for a rider who is willing to take the chance on this amazing guy!

He is located in Columbia Station and in the low x,###
