Everyone starts somewhere. How far you go is directly determined by how willing you are to keep learning.

I’ve found that the most growth happens when I step into spaces where I know the least. Not because I’m out of my depth, but because I’m open.

Confidence has its place.
But curiosity is what softens the mind, steadies the emotions, and keeps you moving forward.

When you stop needing to have it all figured out,
you give yourself room to grow. And there’s no limit to that kind of growth.

I’ve been waiting for this one. 🫶🏽

GSR Rein N Bullets x Pocos Ladybar Chick

A grulla c**t, born late Monday evening to my mare Red. The mare I started as an untouched two-year-old when I was still in high school, the one who has carried me through so many seasons of life. To now have this c**t on the ground, healthy and strong, means more than I can put into words. Out of an incredibly athletic, accomplished stud and the most willing, steady-minded mare I could have ever asked for, I couldn’t be happier with this baby. I can’t wait to see who he becomes.

There’s just something about spring that feels like a fresh start. Any day now we should have a new foal on the ground, and I can’t wait to meet this little one. It’s been making me think back to the fillies from last year and how quickly a year can change them. 🫶🏽

Spring always flips a switch for me too. It’s when things start coming together—legging up my main mount, getting the young ones going, and marking the calendar for clinics and events. The small, consistent work starts to add up fast this time of year.

If you’ve been feeling the pull to get more intentional with your horses, this is the time. Show up, keep it simple, and stay consistent. It all builds from here, and I’m really excited for what’s ahead. 🤍

What one person learns, they’ll carry. But what a coach gives multiplies.

Swipe through these slides and you’ll see a couple of clips of me riding my three year old c**t ba****ck in a halter. The last clip you’ll see is a 15 year old girl that I’ve been coaching, riding along on her two year old filly, also ba****ck in a halter. A filly that was mostly untouched and super skittish just 60 days ago.

I’ve learned a lot from the countless c**ts I’ve started. I’ve learned patience, how to read cues and energies, and perhaps more importantly how to read and adjust myself. Coaching is the most incredible joy because I get to take everything that I’ve learned and share it with others. To offer the support I wish I’d had, and help them flourish.

If you’re looking for guidance in your horsemanship, I’d love to work with you!

I care so deeply about the Double Heart method of horsemanship because the most meaningful growth doesn’t happen when only the horse changes or only the rider improves. Real transformation happens when both are growing together. It’s not just about cues, buttons, or technique. It’s about connection. Because without clear communication, partnership can only go so far.

So much of my method is centered on the energy and mental health of both horse & rider, because I’ve seen how powerful it is to have a partnership where both are changed for the better.

We’re officially just under a month out from Red’s due date. 🐎

I couldn’t be more excited for this baby. Red is a cow-bred registered mare out of Poco Bueno lines, and she truly has the kind of mind and disposition you dream about in a mare. She’s already given me one beautiful filly (pictured at the end of this carousel), and I couldn’t be happier with how she turned out.

This time she’s bred to GSR Rein N Bullets, an NRCHA money earner sired by the AQHA #1 all-time open reining point earner. I also have another mare bred to him who’s due in June, so we’re in for an exciting foaling season around here.

With a guaranteed grulla or dun baby on the way, I can hardly wait to see what hits the ground in the coming weeks.

I’m not complaining about having a few more beautiful babies to bring along when they keep turning out this nice.

It’s the year of the horse, and the year we stop leaving our dreams up to chance.

This planner was born while helping my clients set goals for themselves and their horses. I watched their “crazy” dreams suddenly feel possible once we broke them down into small, daily steps.

Because big dreams aren’t built in one leap. They’re built through intentional days and consistent habits. This planner gives you a place to map the vision, track the work, and build the partnership you’re dreaming about.

Purchase yours now and start turning those goals into reality. 🐎🤍 (link in my stories!)

If there's one thing I might love even more than horses, it's teaching.
It's been such a privilege to guide this young girl as she begins the process of starting this c**t. We aren't trying to rush things or get it done the fastest. We're building the kind of trust that creates a lifelong partnership, at a pace that's right for both the horse and the girl.
Week one, we could barely reach out and touch her. She would snort when anyone approached, had to stay in the round pen, and was always hiding behind her sister.
Now we're in week five. She loves being pampered, has a braided mane and tail, catches easily, and spends her days turned out 24/7 with her new herd. She's learning softness. She's learning that human touch can be a good thing. She picks up her feet and isn't worried by ropes or sticks. And most importantly, she's learning that she has a girl who absolutely adores her.
Every little thing I'm teaching her owner has an end goal in mind: building a partnership that flows seamlessly from ground to saddle and back again. I can't even imagine where we'll be in another month.
