Facebook does not allow the sale of dogs. They want to discourage breeders. Their thoughts are that there are enough homeless dogs in shelters. Many people have their favorite types of dogs such as: Golden retrievers, lab, springers, pointers, etc. Has anyone ever tried to find one of their favorite in a pet shelter? Supply and demand dictate prices, the harder it is to find your favorite, the high the price gets. It's not that there are too many dogs, that there are too many irresponsible people out there abusing and abending pets. The more you have into a pet the less likely you will drop it on the side of the road.

I would like to warn people when purchasing things to be aware of scams. The scams have seemed to hit puppy purchasing too. Things we have noticed is cash is king; it protects the seller and the buyer. If you are required to make a deposit, which is common, make sure you check people out thoroughly. Tips: get names, address, and phone numbers. Google earth their address. Ask questions while listening for things that sound suspicious. For the seller: listen for someone buying for a son, father, etc., who is overseas and soon returning home, who wants to use a currier and will be spending way more than the puppy is worth, especially if they can buy one from the next town over from their town. Please be cautious scams can ruin a wonderful thing!
