We discovered mama and 6 kittens on brother’s section of the property . They are currently being socialized, probably about 6 weeks old and mama is tame and letting the kittens know I’m ok, they are accepting my presence and I’ll start handling them in a day or so. 5 girls and 1 boy, pretty sure. I will get them spayed/neutered and vaccinated asap. All up for adoption and so stinkin cute.

I won’t let them go unless it’s agreed they will be neutered by my appointment (probably not until august) or after they have been adopted.

I have one spot for spay/neuter cat tomorrow morning!! Transport is arranged.

If you can easily get a cat into a carrier and bring it out to cane beds or if you think you can catch one overnight in a trap please claim this spot asap.

This service is meant for strays so if you have been feeding a stray and it’s friendly, it qualifies.

UPDATE : these have been filled.

I have 2 open spots for tomorrow for cat spay or neuter. This is for strays and ferals, not pets. This is a free service at best friends.

Transport is already organized you just have to get the cats to me in cane beds no later than 7am. Or if you are in Kanab take them to the clinic your self. Contact me by messenger, Kelleen Doyle-Scott, if you want one or both of these spots.

I will can cancel them if I don’t hear from anyone by 4 today.

Ask friends, let’s not waste these spots.

I still have 2 or 3 spots open for spay/neuter for cats on the 21st, this Thursday. If I don’t get them filled by tomorrow I will have to cancel them so they can go to other people.

If you have cats that need “done” in your yard, not pets, strays that you feed or ferals/strays that are passing through your property I can loan out traps and carriers. You will have to do the trapping and transport, though, but I can show you how to trap. Or maybe you only need to lift a cat into a carrier if friendly enough.

Your transport will be dropping off at Best Friends Clinic by 8am and pick up by 4:30pm same day. You then keep them overnight in the traps/carriers if you can and released them back where they came from.

Please let me know asap!! Let’s get cats done so the constant cycle of breeding is stopped, at least for these cats.

We have 4 spots available for spay/neuter at Best Friends clinic this Thursday the 14th.

I have traps and carriers to loan out. I can’t do the trapping but I can help with transport at least to pick up or drop off.

Best Friends is having a Lalapalooza spay/neuter day on April 29th they can take any that we bring. I have some traps and carriers that you can borrow. I don’t do the trapping anymore but I might be able to transport some.

Don’t miss out on this event!

You have to do the work, though, but you can get with friends and work together. You must follow through and be there on the morning of.

You or your group will have to be at Best Friends Clinic in Kanab Utah at 8am to drop off and pick up the cats by 4pm.

3 of our 5 from the feral mama we took in, have now died. Rejected at birth but we were on top of it and started feeding right away. They were eating, they were gaining weight, they were fine but one by one they are going.

It seems like typical Fading Kitten Syndrome but did they pick up something toxic in the womb from the dead baby that was in there, too? Did they just die because of no mama love?

It is so heartbreaking. All this suffering can be avoided by spaying and neutering.

We are waiting to see if the last two are going to fade away. We are doing our best but our wee Rescue can only do so much.

Thanks to my hubby Brian G Scott and Jodi Rae Maxwell For doing their absolute best to feed and keep these kittens warm and loved.

We as a rescue and many rescues here are trying to stop this s**t.

Having pregnant cats, allowing cats to give birth and then allowing the kittens to suffer is NOT CUTE.

This mom gave birth, oh it was cute, but cats naturally take care of their kittens so we didn't bug them.

Except in this case mom had no milk, the babies didn't eat and I'm assuming on day 4-5 the lady finally reached out because one died. One died in transport.

Two of the five remaining were at 78 grams and 80 grams. Average birth weight is 100 grams. They suffered and now they are dead. Note photo attached.

The other three are eating, but may not make it. Did I get those three in time? Are their organs slowly shutting down? Did this cause damage to their heart and at some point will stop?

They also had horrid coccidia, so even by chance if they were nursing their body couldn't absorb the nutrients.

This is the s**t rescues see, we see so much bad that we don't even put it on Facebook because it's that bed.

We get calls about moms in labor and they are struggling, take them to the ER then people are pi**ed at us.

My cat is giving birth but the babies are dead. Take the cat to the ER, never fear pi**ed again.

My cat gave birth but I don't think she has any milk the babies won't stop screaming. Good luck with that.

Mom gave birth and I went to bed and mom is dead?

Mom gave birth on the porch and we found her hit by a cat this morning.

My cat gave birth but is pouring out blood.

My cat gave birth two weeks ago but she really smells. Hum like an infection? Vet time.

IF you have a pregnant cat right now and you can pick her up and bring her to me in a carrier. I have three female spots for tomorrow. I want pregnant cats I want the babies and the suffering to stop.
