www.straycatblues.org Mission Statement: Stray Cat Blues, Inc. is a no-kill, non-profit 501(c)(3) organization. We rescue stray and abandoned cats and kittens located primarily in Montgomery and Bucks and other suburban Philadelphia counties, and find them safe and appropriate homes. Personally, SCB is a small group of dedicated volunteers who work tirelessly to find loving, life-long homes for ab

andoned cats. We are professional in our practices, but we are emotional on the subject of homeless cats, and the ways in which we humans can work to prevent this epidemic of strays. Stray Cat Blues actively works to recruit permanent homes for the stray cats in our program. All the animals are screened for feline leukemia, inoculated, sterilized and wormed when they first come to us. Healthy, adoptable cats are then housed through our network of foster homes. Our kittens and cats are exposed to the pet-loving public at our 4 different adoption cage locations to facilitate adoptions and to provide visibility for the organization. In addition to placement of sociable cats and kittens, a major focus of Stray Cat Blues is to place feral and unsociable cats in qualified barn homes. Like our house cats, our barn cats are delivered to their new homes by a Stray Cat Blues volunteer. We provide our barn cats with a cozy "cat condominium" to live in for the first few weeks of life in their new location. The crate allows the cats to acclimate to their new home without the danger of having them run away in search of their old stomping grounds. We are willing to go to great lengths for our cats - quite literally! We will gladly travel to approved barn homes within an approximate 100 mile radius of the Lansdale and Montgomeryville area to deliver our helpful mousers. Most of our cats are strays and their offspring that are rescued from area locations. Many of these strays are more than willing to be helped by our volunteers. But for those animals that are more wary of humans, especially the feral cats, we utilize humane traps. Many of our kittens are born to mother cats that we have rescued. Email: [email protected]

Meet Lucky! The sweetest kitty you ever met. She cant get enough scritches and pets from her foster mom, and although she loves sleeping in her "cave" bed, just reach out your hand to her and she comes right over! She is friendly with the kids and other cats in the household. She also loves to chase her wand toy then sleep for hours in her window bed. This little lady was part of a litter of kittens found and lovingly cared for by a homeowner when they appeared in her backyard one day. They were fed and sheltered there until their caretaker called Stray Cat Blues to help get them into foster homes and ultimately find their forever homes. Now all Lucky needs is to find the person or family that will be her perfect match!

Meet Callie!

I’m the round mound of rebound! Oh wait that’s Charles Barkley. But I am round. Just like Sir Charles I am working on that. I am currently on a diet to get back into shape, that’s not round. 😂

For the most part I enjoy laying around. Being near my person and sometimes playing. I found my way back to SCB when my other person fell ill and no longer could care for us. Fortunately for me I found a foster to take care of me until I can find a new home. I am only 8 years old.

Callie has been diagnosed with feline herpesvirus, which affects her eyes. They get goopy, especially when she is stressed. It’s a life long condition but it doesn’t affect her much. It can be transmitted between cats but normally cats with good immune systems will not be affected (her sister doesn’t have it and they lived together until recently).

But she can always go to a home as an only cat.

If you are ready to receive a lot of love and will continue to help Callie on her weight loss journey please adopt her. She is waiting on her new forever home!

Meet Cher ❤️

Will you be Cher's hero? This sweet girl was rescued from a farm in Sellersville with her brother Sonny. Sonny adjusted quickly to indoor life and people and he was adopted. Cher has had a harder time feeling comfortable in a busy environment, interacting with lots of different people. She needs a quiet home with that special person who will shower her with love and help her feel secure. She is a truly sweet and affectionate girl who will blossom in her own home with her own person.

Cher loves other cats and would also benefit from having a buddy. While living at our Whiskers Way Station, she has become best friends with another sweet, shy cat Miranda. The perfect happy ending would be for both girls to go to a loving home together. Please apply today - you can make a huge difference in the lives of these awesome kitties!

Meet Miranda!

Miranda is a cute tabby girl who loves to be pet and gives very loud purrs when she's content. She can be occasionally skittish to a hand coming towards her, so it's best to move slowly at first. She loves to play and will beg for treats. Miri is a sweet-natured kitty who is very curious and likes to watch everything going on around her. She will do best in a quiet home without young children.

Miranda is currently at our Whiskers Way Station where she has become best friends with another one of our shy kitties (Cher). Please consider adopting both of these sweet girls so they can stay together.

Meet Jesse!

Hello, I'm Jesse. I'm a young fella, sweet as honey, but a little shy when I first meet someone new. I like to take things slow, enjoy the quiet moments. My brother Emery and I are inseparable. We share everything, even our love for the red dot of a laser light. It's our favorite game. And Temptation treats? Oh, they're the best! We'd do anything for them.

I need a quiet home where I can relax with my brother without any dogs and with adults only. I love other cats. I'm looking for a human who understands us cats, one who'll give us time to trust and adjust to a new home. Adopt me and Emery. We promise to fill your life with quiet companionship and sweet purrs.

Meet Trixie, a one-year-old tuxedo girl with a sweet personality and an irresistibly goofy charm! This lovable little kitty has a heart full of affection and is sure to bring warmth and joy to your home. Trixie loves her kitty roommate, making her a great companion for another family cat, though she'd also be happy soaking up all your love as the only feline in the house.

She thrives in a calm environment and would feel most comfortable with older, gentle children who can appreciate her tender, easygoing nature. With her silly streak and big heart, Trixie is ready to be the perfect companion for a family who will cherish her.

Consider giving Trixie the forever home she deserves; she’s ready to share her love and goofy antics with you!

Meet Mittens!

Mr Mitts is a senior tan tabby man with white paws and a fluffy striped tail. He came to foster care after his previous owner moved out to hospice care and he and his companion Salem were alone in the house for 2 months. A neighbor came to feed them and clean the litter box. SCB became involved when the house needed to be emptied for demolition. Mittens has taken some time to trust humans again and can be shy. He enjoys getting pets at mealtimes from his foster mom. He now vocalizes quite a bit and does a circle dance when food comes to him. He recently had a senior check up (blood work) and is in good health. Mr. Mitts is a gentleman who would love to have a quiet home and be your kind companion.

Meet Jola!

Jola came to us in January 2024 a day after giving birth to a litter of kittens. She was very protective of her babies. But, once she was finished raising them out was clear that she could be a house cat. After she did a wonderful job raising her kittens and the kittens were weaned, her Foster Mom worked with her on socialization and she's now a happy, loving, affectionate little house cat. She's shy with new people, but loves to be pet when she trusts you and really likes when you play with her with a wand toy.

She loves to jump up on get foster mom's lap for a nap and is a great companion who really enjoys being pet and hanging out with her humans and will only continue to flourish in a furever home as she bonds with her adopter. She will do best with an experienced cat person who will allow her time to acclimate and get to know and trust them. Jola is about two years old and is a pretty chill cat who likes to lay in a cat tree and watch birds out the window. She would not be good with small children or dogs. She is prone to being bullied by other cats, but gets along great with her foster buddy Treasure, who she'd love to be adopted with, but would be perfectly fine as an only cat also.

See more of Jola on her foster mom's Instagram account https://www.instagram.com/kastle_krause_fosters

From one of our trappers: "Here is a video at a business that I am now up to catching 13 cats. They are all welcome to come back and have a feeder there who takes care of them and have houses set up. I caught the first 10 using a traditional trap and the last 3 I have needed to switch to a drop trap because now I am up to the smart ones who wouldn't go in the trap" WE GOT HIM!

Pablo is at Petsmart North Wales!

Hello, I'm Pablo, a brave soul with a heart full of love. My foster mom says I have the most beautiful eyes and the most expressive face. I am FIV+, since I used to be fighting to survive on the streets of Lansdale. It doesn't slow me down though, it makes me stronger. I've learned to be courageous, and I'm not afraid to love and be loved.

Every day, I greet life with a purr and a head bump. I'm a good listener, a silent confidant, and a warm companion. My resilience inspires everyone around me. Even though I have FIV, I still have an abundance of love to give. With routine vet care, I can live a perfectly normal and healthy life. I am curious about other cats and would be fine in a home with other feline friends.

🐾 Help Us Save More Lives 🐾

Seeking Barns and Volunteers to Expand Our Barn Cat Program!!

Not every cat dreams of cuddles on the couch—some just want a warm barn, a full belly, and the freedom to roam. These are the undercats: feral or semi-social cats who aren’t suited for indoor life but still deserve safety, care, and a second chance.

That’s where YOU come in.

🌾 Do you have a barn, stable, or outbuilding?
🌟 Can you give a few hardworking, fully-vetted kitties a safe place to call home?

We’re looking for compassionate folks with barns or similar spaces to join our Barn Cat Program. We provide all the support and training you need to successfully acclimate your new feline residents.

💪 No barn? No problem!
We’re also seeking dedicated volunteers to help transport, set up enclosures, and acclimate the kitties to support barn placements—your help could be the reason a cat gets their second chance.

📩 Ready to help save lives in a unique and powerful way? Get involved today: send an email to [email protected] to express your interest.

Let’s give these resilient kitties the fresh start they deserve. 🐱❤️

Meet Pumbaa!

Hello there, I'm Pumbaa, named after a character from the Lion King. I'm a bit shy and might take some time to warm up to you, but once I do, you'll see my gentle and sweet nature. I'm young and have a lot of love to give. I'm looking for a cat-savvy adopter who can understand my initial hesitations. My best friend here is Banzai, another cat who's been teaching me the ropes of foster life. Despite my timidness, I have a heart full of love waiting for the right person. Adopting me would mean giving a shy, sweet soul like me a chance to blossom and show you the love I'm capable of giving.

Meet Sammy

Sammy is a very shy, sweet, and loveable cat. He wants attention but is hesitant. Once you start to pet him, he quickly realizes this isn't half bad and his purr machine is activated. He is very gentle and very playful. Despite being shy he is a greeter and is always trying to see what he might be missing. He really enjoys the company of his feline foster friends and would be best in a home with another cat. Please consider adopting this sweet cat.

Meet Liv!

Liv was found on the streets of Philly on a cold day. She was starving and it was clear the streets hadn’t been kind to her. Once in foster care it took her quite some time to trust humans. Who can blame her? She only knew abuse and neglect in her short life.

Livy is a funny girl. She’s very smart, curious, playful and sweet. She may not be an immediate lap kitty but give her some time and shell be rubbing on you for pets with her cute curled tail. Shes a bit chatty when she has something to say. Not a loud cat by any means, but will have a mini conversation with you, even responding to your questions like she understands what youre saying. She loves toys..all toys! She’s not picky but her absolute favorite is a coil/spring toy. She will provide lots of laughs and entertainment playing with her toys. She loves bringing them to you so you can take part in her playtime. Play with her and you’ll quickly become her bud!

She needs a calmer forever home with a cat savvy adopter who will give her the time she needs to adjust and come out of her shell. Someone who will love her quirkiness because this girl will have you laughing in no time!
She needs to be adopted with her best friend Angel. They’ve only had each other in foster care, and struggle when they’re separated. ❤️
