Wanted to give everyone that’s been asking an update on the boys!

Today marks one month at Diamond Appaloosa. Thanks to Danielle Yusko for taking such good care of the boys, I’m so appreciative of being able to settle in easily there! I honestly can’t believe how quickly the boys have settled in. It feels like Bob and Atlas have been there for years already — they adjusted so smoothly to their new environment, new routines, and new arena.

I’ve been able to pop up when I can to say hi, give them some treats, and even sneak in a ride here and there, which has been really nice during the transition. It’s been comforting seeing them so relaxed and happy every time I’m there.

Faith Steiner has also been up almost every day riding them, and she’s been doing an amazing job with them. They’ve all settled really well into exercising in the big arena and the beautiful footing — it’s made such a difference for their work and confidence.

And a huge highlight so far — the first show Faith did with Bob two Sundays ago was incredible. They came home with four grand champion titles across hunters, ranch, and flat divisions, plus a reserve champion in gymkhana. On top of that, Ryan her husband rode Bob in the beginner leadline class and took first in his class!

So proud of how far everyone has been adjusting in just a short time.

Thank you to everyone who’s been checking in here and there on how they are doing, means more than I can express!

Stay tuned for more updates as time goes on :)

Most of you already know what’s been happening, but for those who don’t, I just wanted to take a moment to share that after 6 years, TorBella’s barn doors have officially closed today, and the boys have moved to their new home. They have officially arrived and are doing great. It was an emotional day, but I’m so thankful they are safe, settled, and well cared for.

This barn and family has been such a huge part of my life and has held years of lessons, laughter, challenges, and growth. I’m so grateful for the riders, families, friends and horses who were part of it.

Life doesn’t always unfold the way we plan, and sometimes the chapters we thought were permanent end much sooner than expected. While this transition hasn’t been easy and life has thrown quite a few curveballs my way recently, I truly believe growth often comes from the most unexpected and difficult endings. Even though the future isn’t entirely clear right now, I’m choosing to stay positive and move forward with the same resilience that has carried me through every challenge so far in life.

I want to take a moment to sincerely thank everyone who has a part of and who has supported me and this business from the very beginning 6 years ago. From the first riders and families who trusted me, to those who joined along the way, your support, loyalty, and encouragement have meant more to me than I can put into words. Owning and running this program over the past six years has not been without its struggles, but I have always persevered and made it my mission to keep it going no matter what—and that is something I am incredibly proud of.

While this chapter is closing, I will be keeping this page active and sharing updates here and there as Bob and Atlas settle into their new home. They will be leased by a wonderful rider named Faith, who will be riding them and showing them over the summer and for the foreseeable future, and I’m excited to watch them continue their journey and see all that they accomplish together!

My goal is to reopen this program again one day in the future—hopefully one day at a farm of my own. This isn’t the end of the dream, just a pause while I work toward the next step.

For now, my focus is on the horses and making sure they are comfortable and cared for during this transition. Thank you again to everyone who has supported me and the program over the years. I’m looking forward to seeing what the next chapter brings.

Today I say goodbye to a very special member of the TorBella family—our sweet Lady Gwenevere.

Lady may not have been the fastest pony, and she didn’t need to jump the highest fences or do anything fancy. Most of the time she just walked and trotted, but what she gave to the riders who sat on her back was something far more important. She gave them confidence. She taught so many riders how to steer for the very first time, how to find their balance, and how to believe they could do it.

In the summertime, she was always at the center of the fun. Campers painted her with bright colors, gave her baths, and covered her with love and attention. She patiently stood while kids tried their first vaulting positions on her back, trusting her completely as they learned something new. For so many children, Lady was the pony who made them feel brave.

She had her own personality too—full of sass and opinions—but it was always part of her charm. She sometimes stepped on toes and made sure you knew when she had something to say, but she also gave plenty of licks and kisses in return. Underneath it all, she had the kindest heart and always did her job with everything she had.

In the end, Lady began to struggle with the pain of ringbone. Letting her go today is one of the hardest decisions to make, but it’s also the last act of love we can give her—allowing her to rest and be free from pain.

Three years ago I was lucky enough to bring Lady into my life and into the TorBella family. She became more than just a pony here—she became a teacher, a confidence builder, and a friend to so many riders. She was the star of the show at birthday parties as well.

Lady, thank you for every quiet walk, every patient lesson, every child you helped believe in themselves. You were loved deeply here, and you will always be part of this barn and this family. You were truly a unicorn.

Run free, sweet girl. May you find endless green pastures, warm sunshine on your back, and legs that carry you freely again.

We will never forget you.

When the forecast says ‘big storm,’ so you prep like it’s the apocalypse… just in case ❄️ Atlas, Bob, and Lady are all suited up in their winter best with heavy blankets and hoods on. If it hits us hard, all the animals at the farm are fully prepared with extra hay, warm blankets, and shelter. If it doesn’t? At least everyone’s cozy 💕🥶❄️
