Today I want to share the part of breeding that breaks my heart.

Behind the beautiful photos and playful kittens is a reality most people never see — sometimes, despite doing everything right, we lose babies.

This week I lost a litter. Tiny lives I fought for, warmed, cleaned, monitored, prayed over. Some days breeding means sleepless nights, tears on the floor, and a kind of grief that doesn’t fit neatly into words.

We don’t share this for sympathy. We share it because this is the truth. Ethical breeding is not easy, glamorous, or guaranteed. It is love, responsibility, heartbreak, and showing up anyway.

Please hug your pets a little tighter tonight. 🤍
