As my newsfeed is flooded with folks and the monster bucks they’ve snagged this huntin’ season, I felt it was time to also share my harvest. All the waitin', the cold, and the hard work is well worth it when ya score a trophy like this. And lawww, what a spread it's got. I've been watchin' these plants and mushrooms patiently all season waitin' for the right time to drop 'em. One snip, one kill. That's my motto. These buckwild finds will nourish and keep myself and my loved ones happy and healthy for months to come. I am forever grateful for their life and sacrifice. Can't wait to see 'em all racked up later.

Grant me always, wisdom and respect in the pursuit and keep me humble in the harvest.

Back when I attempted to do TikTok and was looking for Witches and Pagans there, this book seemed to be all over the place. VERY aesthetic, after all. Doesn't it just look like the sort of Witch book we ALL wanted when we started out? Well, I did. So much so I used to keep a Victorian volume of miscellaneous poetry just kind of nearby my Witchy stuff because it was black wit gold embossing. It just looked right, if you didn't look a the title. LOL I was....12? I once set up a nice Witchy looking photo with it, but again, you couldn't see the title.

Sadly, people do seem to buy it for more than doing videos with it, although not all. The first review on Amazon is "it was a great prop for our photo shoot." Most others look botty....early botty...one or two words "awesome" nothing about it.

Other reviews do indicate it's mostly a bunch of old spells from different cultures and using terms that are not defined but are code....you know, the "eye of newt" is mustard seed sort of thing. The sort of thing that either keeps newbies from being able to find the ingredients to... causing them to harm animals. Someone, who themselves may not know that mentions it promotes animal abuse. They also note racism in it. There's really a lot of red flags in both positive and negative reviews...the ones that are more than two words.

So it's obviously cut and paste,... based both on the mostly just old spells taken with no or misused context and it was published in 2016, before the cut-and-pasters were losing their jobs to computers.
I tried to find any evidence of the author being a real Witch...or even a single person... there's always something out here if someone is. She supposedly runs an apothecary somewhere in the "North East" after all, there are quite a few but you know most have web presence and people associated with them.

I DID find her photo, though...as part of a series of stock photos. It's not like they are even really working very hard to fool anyone but just taking the money of those who are volunteering it over a witchy looking cover. Oh, there's a second Book of Shadows volume, too. 😕

It might have fun art in it, but I'm assuming it's copy-paste drivel or entirely AI considering it's being sold in Spirit Halloween. It's not meant to be a serious book. I have never heard of the author and the cover looks like it's trying to rip off the Supernatural anti- possession tattoos.

I mean....I might just be doing the "I'm burned out but, hey, if I do this other thing I might feel refreshed" thing.

I have plans to do some fitness stuff at TEOTW AWKI Charm School but mostly just sometimes post some political stuff or anti-diet stuff or other people's fitness stuff. (health has crashed)

And someday I might get back to writing this project and posting some werewolf stuff at Straying in Wolf Shape: Werewolves, Gender and the Nature of the Beast.... although I probably will not get back to putting the writing on Ko-fi as I ....I think focusing on trying to regularly have something to share on it got in the way of my chaotic writing style.

Our Halloween tumsie lantern, so deemed because it is up already and outside....or was....it could be taken and eaten by something by now. The Samhuinn one will be carved just before our ritual and sit on our hearth shrine. Not quite sure what day we are celebrating.

The new firepit is in progress, but not sure how much bigger I want to make it. Yesterday the fire ban was lifted, so hopefully with coming rain and snow that won't return and we can properly sanctify our new site...something I had been worried about.

Meanwhile, we still have no well and it's going to be a long winter with no running water.

I am not sure right now but I may not be posting much for awhile. I had some ....crap....come up and may need some reflection time. I don't know. Some things I thought I let go of ....I haven't.... and...that's pretty nasty and I've gotten kind of toxic and I'm sorry about that....

For decades I tried to get interest in building a warrior path in service to the Morrígan, Badb and Macha. Me, who was chronically ill even when I started. But I felt a call to do this. And....what happened was .....well, it's not what happened.

And we needed such a path. I hope beyond hope to find others who saw this as I did. Because I couldn't do it alone, I couldn't teach people who ....well, wanted something else. I burned out. This actually is why I am on this page, not on Scáth na Feannóige - Fénnidecht in Service to The Morrígan, Badb and Macha these days. I'm old, I'm sick, I'm tired, and I'm so sad.

My last ditch effort to get Hooded Crow going again, was a series of blog posts. I kind of had some stuff come up for me about this today, so I figured I'd post them here. I may post several blog post links. from there. Because...I don't know....actually.....
