The Witch of Coös

The Witch of Coös A tired old, queer, anarchist, AuDHD Gaelic Reconstructionist Swamp Witch STILL living in an actual swamp in Coös County NH. I am a Wolf of the Morrígan

I've repurposed this page, as I wasn't really using it anyway. I want to focus on NH (and some VT and ME, perhaps) paranormal lore and such. But as I am a Pagan Witch, living in Coos County, NH, where there seems to be little community effort happening, I thought I'd also try to post Pagan events and the like happening here in Coos County. I will consider other parts of northern NE if not too far, but most of those areas are covered.

I remember growing up with adults who told me Goldenrod WAS Ragweed, I was an adult when I found out what Ragweed looked like and realized the false accusations against poor Goldenrod, a very beneficial food for the very beneficial pollinators!

Yes, you CAN be allergic to Goldenrod and might actually be if you are allergic to Ragweed, BUT......Goldenrod pollen does NOT saturate the air like Ragweed pollen does so you are not likely reacting to it at all unless expose yourself directly to it.

Goldenrod blooms are an autumn delight — both for human admirers and wildlife visitors. Their sunny yellow flowers add beauty and interest to the late summer and early fall landscape … Read more

I'm thinking of trying to revive this project if all goes well. But to do so I can't sit alone up here, are there ANY other socialist anarchist types interested in pursuing a revolutionary focused warrior path for the Morrígna ...based on solid understanding of the warrior culture (which is NOT soldier/cop stuff that the word "warrior" elicits in most people but is also not self-indulgent woo and is open to folks of all abilities...there's many roles to play) around here? (Northern NH and North-Eastern VT and there about)

She "researched" and misused information, which now is utilized by "witches" who have no real training in any actual tradition (hey, I love some pop-culture witches, but only those done with some respect AND no bigotry! If you want some real good stuff, check out Terry Pratchett already!)

Imagine if you will stealing from spiritual and magic practice to profit of your books that you ripped off from someone else's work. To fund bigoted legislation that oppresses marginalized groups and the LGBTQ community. And not believe in what you're writing about, and commiting Holocaust Denialism.

Sounds about right for a colonizer TERF

I'm too exhausted for this directly, but I hope folks keep in mind that ...if your animal part is a "by-product" of a practice that is renown for it's cruelty it does NOT count as "ethically sourced." And those who do that practice are profiting off of you buying and selling those "by-products" they will be sure to have for you.

You are not ethical, you are an a******!

Welcome

It’s Friday the 13th the night after the full moon and I’m a Witch, old-style, who is sadly too ill tonight to be riding with the still bright moon. So I thought I’d create a place to share what ever strangeness or delight might cross my mind with others. So welcome to my Emporium.

Here I might share real life mysteries or tales of fictional horrors. Then again, I might share some photos of Greyhounds or horses just for their beauty. This shall be a true emporium, a collection of many things that might seem unconnected, but are all part of my mind. Some things might dominate, such as Dark Shadows. But that might change. So might the name. We shall see. Enjoy!

The painting up top here is “Nine Greyhounds in a Landscape” by Jacques-Laurent Agasse circa 1807
