Green Mountain Canine Camp is a great alternative to doggie daycare and other pet services that can become overwhelming to your dog. Dog camp provides a healthy and balanced way to stimulate your dog mentally and physically. We provide a natural environment for your dog to learn, socialize, and just plain be a dog! Dogs crave a leader, companionship, socialization, structure, physical activity, an

d love. While we know our pets need these things, the reality of careers, family, and other obligations that come with day to day life often leave our furry friends to take a back seat. 75 percent of pet owners leave their dogs behind for the day while they head off to work. GMCC offers a solution to breaking up your dog’s long day at home, and can alleviate the stress and guilt felt by pet owners that have to work the typical 8-5 schedule.

There are truly no words for this loss. Unless you are an OG follower of GMCC, you likely don’t know this sweet face. But if you’ve been here for a while, it would be impossible to forget a dog like Jaxon, aka

This guy was my *very* first client. In 2015, I was dreaming big about the future and using my lunch breaks at my current job to drive down to this boy‘s house in Burlington and take him on leashed walks by the lake. To this day, I cannot imagine a better way to spend a lunch break. This beagle will forever have such a big piece of my heart. I was given the great privilege to essentially watch him grow up alongside my own dog, Monty.

About 2 years ago, Jaxon and his brother Willard moved out into the mountains, and they have been living the absolute best dog camp retirement life imaginable. I have missed both pups immensely over these years, but I’m so grateful that I was still able to get little updates here and there and pictures of their mountain adventures. Seeing them and their dad thriving in their new home made my heart so happy.

At the ripe younge age of 14 1/2, Jaxon crossed the rainbow bridge and I just know that all our campers were there waiting for him saying “wow, what took you so long! We’ve missed you!” The world won’t be the same without that grumpy beagle. Sending his dad so much love right now 💔
