Does your horse follow the feel of a traditional hackamore?
Why is it a great tool? Can you use it wrong? Why is it so great for young horses? Why do my legs matter so much more? I thought my horse was soft but I guess he’s just been good about being pulled on, why is the bosal changing how he carries himself? Why is it so much easier to feel my horse pick up their feet compared to when I was riding with a bit?
These are questions I get asked all the time in clinics or even if I’m out riding my c**ts. That being said SCH wants to put something special on !
SCH Traditional Hackamore school will be a 3day school we will be offering to a select group of individuals and their horses to not only add some new tools to their tool box but also add some tradition from the vaquero that may change how you as a rider present yourself to your horse and other riders.
We will begin speaking on the device, placement, how to tie your mecate, purpose and introduce it in little doses that will grow of the course of 3days to where we will be giving your horses jobs to do while creating a soft feel and touch!
SCH Traditional Hackamore School will be held in Loon Lake at Legacy Farms and Stables.
