We are still searching for the perfect forever home for our sweet Rowan 🤍
We truly thought we had found “the one,” but sometimes it just isn’t the right fit and that’s okay. We signed up for this to be a process, to find the perfect match... and Rowan deserves a home where he can fully relax, feel safe, and be exactly who he is.
Here’s what we’ve learned about our special guy when he is in an environment he is not used to:
Rowan is still wonderful with kids. He’s gentle, patient, and kind. But, at the same time, he does best when he has space to retreat and recharge. So, a home with constant, all day kid chaos just isn’t his comfort zone.
He does well with female dogs, but we saw that he naturally takes on a “protector” role and would likely thrive most as the only pet. I cannot stress enough that he WAS NOT aggressive in any way, just quietly letting us know he prefers not to share his people.
Rowan loves people, truly all people, but he does seem especially drawn to men.
He would do best in a home with a fenced yard where he understands his boundaries and can feel secure. We are not considering homes with cats, simply because we don’t know how he would react and want to set him up for success.
And one of our favorite things about him… he still loves to sleep on his back, all four paws in the air, completely carefree.
Rowan isn’t just looking for a home, he’s looking for his person.
If you think that could be you, or know someone who might be a good fit, please reach out or share. Thank you again, BCG community, for the continued love and support on this journey 🤍
