Seasoning a horse is a process—exposing them, guiding them, letting them take it all in. Some days feel rough, some feel like a breakthrough, but every single ride teaches them something. And the best part? That moment when you realize they’re not just ‘getting by’ anymore… they’re starting to understand. That’s when the pieces truly start falling into place.
Cloud started her seasoning this summer in Cody. She won or placed in the majority of the rounds she was used in, earning over $1,000. She performed in front of giant crowds with bright lights, loud music, rope barriers, and tricky calves—and she handled every bit of it. She exceeded all of our expectations. We know not all horses can be like Cloud—though that would be amazing—so we’ll soak up every moment with her and with the ones that remind us of her.
