In Stephen Kings novel Dreamcatcher, there is a theme of "seeing the line". That always occurs to me when I'm trying to draw up a new pattern. I'm trying to "see the line" and let the design tell me where things go. I draw and erase overe and over. Like the leaf in the lower right. I don't know if that will stay or not. I'll keep trying to "see the line".
