⭐️ 🚔 ⭐️ 🚔 SCAM ALERT ⭐️ 🚔 ⭐️ 🚔
It has come to our attention yet again that citizens are receiving phone calls threatening arrest over so-called “warrants,” missed jury duty, or other law-enforcement actions.
Bleckley County, and others reading this, let me be crystal clear:
⭐️ Jury Duty Notices
These are delivered only by U.S. Mail.
If anything further is needed, a Deputy Sheriff will come to your residence—we do not call you demanding action.
⭐️ Warrants
We will never call you about a warrant.
If we want you, we will come get you. Plain and simple.
⭐️ Payment Demands
We (and other law enforcement) will never call and demand payment to avoid arrest or legal action.
Read this next sentence twice…
ANY CALL DOING THIS IS A SCAM .!
(Remember, read this twice)
So you might ask…
“Sheriff Where These Scams Are Coming From?”
Good Question!
Unfortunately, a large number of these scam calls are being perpetrated by inmates inside state and out-of-state prisons, using illegal contraband cellphones.
These phones fuel:
- Financial scams
- Drug trafficking
- Gang coordination
- Violence inside and outside the wire
If you’re a legislator, our Corrections sure need some help from you gaining approval to shut these down!
So, You might ask what we’re doing about it
The Bleckley County Sheriff’s Office, alongside our state and federal partners, are actively combatting this criminal behavior.
When you receive one of these calls:
📞 Call us.
📱 Give us the phone number they used.
We will:
- Identify the number
- Identify the carrier
- Identify who used it
- Track it back to the prison (and
elsewhere)
- Identify their outside associates
- Charge, arrest, and prosecute every
one of them
If someone on the outside is helping inmates commit these scams, we are more than happy to arrange for them to join their friends behind the wire.
And the inmates? We’re stacking state and federal charges to ensure their stay is extended…significantly.
Im tired of It, If you are an Inmate or associate of one perpetuating this in Bleckley County, stop now, or bare minimum, pick a different county, this isnt the one, and I assure you, Im not the one to try.!
Citizens,
If you get a suspicious call, hang up and call us directly.
We’re here to protect you, and we take these cases seriously.
