Hoof day at The Mini Mountain Farm. 🐐🐖💅🏻
Ben Pollak from made the trip out today to give our crew some much-needed care. Gus, Beni, Googy, Moe, Sonny, Ralphie, Frank, and Odie all got their hooves trimmed, Bingo got a full cleanup, and Georgio, Wilbur, and the rest of the gang hung around to supervise (and hustle for snacks).
Regular hoof and tusk care isn’t glamorous, but it’s one of the most important things we do for our residents. Overgrown hooves lead to pain, posture problems, and mobility issues. Tusk care keeps our pigs comfortable and safe with the herd. These visits happen every 3 to 6 months and they’re a significant investment in our residents’ long-term health and comfort.
A visit like today’s simply isn’t possible without our supporters and Patreon community. If you’ve ever wondered where your support goes, it’s right here: in every comfortable step Gus takes across the pasture tonight. 💛
