🚨 🚨 🚨UPDATE ADOPTED!! 🚨 🚨 🚨
Monsty is a 13-year-old black Lab with the kindest heart. He came to us with his best friend Sam, and while they don’t have to be adopted together, we would love for them to find a home where they can continue their journey side by side.

Like Sam, Monsty is Lyme positive, which means he was exposed to Lyme disease from a tick bite. It’s manageable with proper care, and despite this, he’s still just a happy old guy looking for love. Right now, he’s also being treated for a skin infection, but he’s on the mend and ready to soak up all the affection he can get.

All Monsty wants is a soft bed, kind hands, and a family to love him. If you’ve got room in your heart for a gentle senior, he’s waiting for you.

Our shelves are empty and we need your help to fill them back up! Right now, especially with our capacity crisis, we don’t have enough blankets for all the dogs and cats in our care.

If you have any old blankets and/or large towels you are thinking of parting ways with, please drop them off at the shelter anytime. If you stop by while we are closed, you can utilize our after hours donation bin!

‼️ Avie has now spent 772 days at our shelter and we need your help finding him a furever home ‼️

Not only have we known Avie for 2 years now, but he was in another shelter before he came to us. At just 4 years old, this sweetheart has been homeless for the majority of his life. 💔

As much as we adore our boy, a shelter is absolutely not a home. Our holiday wish is to finally find Avie his perfect match. ❤

Avie needs to be the only fur child in your home and is part of our forever foster program and has a waived adoption fee. However if Avie isn't quite the right match for you, you're in luck! That means now through Saturday Dec 16th adult dog adoptions are only $50 and adult cat adoptions are only $20! 🐾

🚨 URGENT! NALA NEEDS A PLACE TO GO!

Nala has been with Warren County Animal Control for a year! That means that if the shelter fills their 6 dog runs up, she may lose her life for space. As of this post, 5 dog runs are occupied. ACO Becka is hoping and praying and working her butt off to make sure that never happens! Just the thought of that happening completely breaks Becka’s heart. In helping Becka, we want to see Nala get a home she deserves!

Nala is EXTREMELY shy to new people. She think she was used to breed and then thrown to the curb, so her fear of new people she doesn’t know or trust is completely understandable! When we visit, she’ll stare at us from afar if we’re outside. Once we go in the building, she comes inside to look but the minute we move her direction or even look her direction, she flees back outside. Even getting her to take a treat from us takes some time.

That said, ACO Becka has gained her trust. She is such a happy, loving girl with Becka! She just needs to learn to trust the human she is around.

We think Nala is about 7-8 years old. She does need to be the only dog in her home. With her history, we cant blame her at all for not being good with other dogs. Nala is not cat or kid tested and there is no way to do either safely at this time.

While we know Nala needs a tall order home, we are hopeful that there is the perfect home for her to live out the remainder of her life. Nala is not currently fully vetted, but QCART will be paying for all of her vetting before she goes to a new home.

📢 🐶 RESCUES: Nala IS available to be pulled by a 501(c)3 rescue! Transport can be arranged!
