Potato & Tootsie
Christina Alonso visited Cats in Bloom a few times to potentially adopt a kitten for her family. On her latest visit she brought her 7-year-old daughter, Lily, who immediately fell in love with active and spunky kitten Potato. It was no surprise since this outgoing orange kitten with the fluffy tail caught a lot of attention.
Like with any adopter of a singlet and with no furry friends at home, we gently suggested adopting two. This gives a friend and playmate when family is not around and enhances each of their lives. Potato had a sister, black tabby Tootsie, so we suggested the two sisters for two sisters since Lily had a 4-year-old sister, Lucia, at home.
So the seed was planted and pictures of the kitten sisters were sent to dad and daughter at home. We arranged for a private family visit due to our age restrictions during open hours and the family came in a few days later. We were pretty sure it was a done deal when the young girls had already renamed their fur babies. Potato would be Polly and Tootsie would become Minnie Mouse. And so 2 feline sisters were added to the Alfonso family that day!
Christina says the family loves them so much and they fit in so wonderfully with them. She happily says adopting two was the best decision they could have made. Something we couldn’t agree with more.
