2025 NM State Fair Open Rabbit Show is in the Books and it was good to Hops A Lot Farms. I only took 4 Californians this year and the are all home grown.

Judge: Danny Long

In the Stewer class 1st Cheetos, 2nd Funyuns, 3rd Peso, and 4th Frito.

Then on to Californian Class.

1st place Senior Buck and Best Opposite Peso (even in a major molt)

1st place Senior Doe and Best Of Breed Cheetos.
3rd place Senior Doe Funyuns
4th place Senior Doe Frito.

We have decided to down size our rabbit barn. We have 14 Mini Rex that are now looking for new hay in a new barn. We have Castor, Black, Black Otter, Broken Black, Broken Black Otter, and a Opal. These are pictures of just a few of them.

Had a great time at The Billy the Kid Jackpot put on by the Roadrunner RBA in Captain on Saturday. In the inaugural Open Show I got Best of Breed Californian with home grown Peso Senior Buck and Best Opposite Californian with home grown Cheetos Junior Doe under Judge Katie Lisle.

Wow! What an amazing weekend in Hereford at the Llano Estacado Rabbit Show.

Peso (Home Grown) Senior Buck 1st place & Best Opposite of Breed.
The Junior Chip litter did good too. Mainly took them to try to figure out who gets to stay and who needs to find new hay. But I loved the feed back we for on them.

If you come and get the p**p out of the barrels, it is free. If you want it in feed bags 50 # it will be $5 per bag. If you want us to put it in your containers then it will be $5 per container. But you will need to bring them and leave them for a bit.

So I took 6 rabbits to Hereford for the Llano Estacado Rabbit Breeder's Show. I had a blast getting to catch up with friends.
