So you all know the classic Shirley Temple drink, right? 🍹 Traditionally it’s cherry grenadine, lemon-lime soda (like 7-Up), and of course that iconic maraschino cherry on top. Well… I wanted to do something a little special for my friend’s birthday this week. She loves Mountain Dew (like, LOVES it 😂), so I thought—why not put her favorite soda in the mix? And friends, it worked perfectly. 💚✨
The result? A playful, nostalgic dessert that’s light, fluffy, and a little unexpected. It’s sweet, fizzy, and just the right amount of tangy with that signature cherry-grenadine swirl. Think childhood Shirley Temples… but with a Mountain Dew birthday glow-up! 🥳🎂

🥧 Recipe
Crust:
• 10 graham cracker sheets, crushed (about 1½ cups)
• ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
Filling:
• 1 (3 oz) package cherry Jell-O
• 1 cup boiling water
• ½ cup cold Mountain Dew (instead of 7-Up!)
• ¼ cup grenadine
• 8 oz whipped topping, thawed
Toppings:
• Whipped cream swirls
• Maraschino cherries (lots of them—because birthdays call for extra 🍒🍒🍒)

Directions
1. Make the crust: Mix graham cracker crumbs with melted butter. Press into a 9” pie plate. Chill while you make the filling.

3. Fold: Gently fold gelatin mix into whipped topping until light and fluffy.
4. Assemble: Spread into chilled crust. Smooth the top. Refrigerate 2–3 hours or until firm.
