**UPDATE! FOSTER HAS BEEN FOUND FOR SUNNY, WHICH IS A FOSTER TO ADOPT SITUATION. WE MAY STILL NEED A FOSTER FOR WINNIE, THE BOY!

Just as we thought we were getting a break, we now need 2 foster homes. For the male, WINNIE, who we posted earlier today, and now for a young female.

SUNNY is believed to be about 1 1/2-2 years old She's a pretty blue. I will know more in the next day or so, but if you are considering adding a female to your family, you might like to foster to adopt! ***UPDATE! MAGGIE HAS OFFICIALLY BEEN ADOPTED! HER ANNOUNCEMENT WILL BE COMING ON JUNE1! 🥰

Maggie is still waiting for applications for her new forever home! She is a petite, 8-9 month old that can be skittish at first. She just needs time, and once that happens she is comfortable, and even gives kisses!

*No young children
*Must have at least one other playful dog in home. (She LOVES to play!)
*Patience as she gets used to her new surroundings.
*Minimal alone time
AND...Maggie just asked that Good treats be added to the list!😉

NCWR hopes that everyone enjoys this Memorial Day as we remember those we lost. But we also need to remind everyone to keep corn cobs away from your dogs. They can, and do kill😢
If you even suspect your dog may have ingested a corn cob, get them to your emergency vet immediately. TIME MATTERS!

We are so surprised that we've gotten so few applications for Maggie! Yes, we know we are being selective! We need to make sure we get her in the perfect home with a patient family, and another energetic pup to play with. She is doing so great at Peaceful Pets, and we know she will bond so well with her new family. She just will need a little time to feel confident, and your current fun dog will make that happen quickly! We have learned that is what really helps her gain trust in a new home.

Maggie is between 8-10 months old, and so fun to watch her play with other dogs. Slowly, but surely she gives out kisses! If you would love to hear more about this awesome girl, please message us or fill out our application.

MAGGIE is still waiting for the perfect adoption application. We have received several good apps for Weims, but Maggie has some special needs that we want to fill, in order for her to successfully transition in to a new home.

*MUST have at least one other friendly, playful dog companion.
*NO younger children
*MINIMAL alone time.
*WILLING to follow the training advise from Peaceful Pets for an easier transition, and be patient with her as she learns to trust her new family.
*A nice play space for her. She loves to run!

The reward will be a super sweet girl, who wants to have the confidence, love, and loves to learn new things! 🥰

MAGGIE had a fun outing yesterday to a Green Acres Garden Center. All new experiences for her! She even went up and sniffed a male worker there. Fun times! She is doing really good on gaining confidence thanks to Dana & James at Peaceful Pets in Elverta!

If you have been following Maggie, and think she would vbe a great addition to your home, fill out our application, or message us with any questions. A few things we will require for her:

*At least one other, playful, friendly dog companion.
*No young children
*A lot of patience teaching her that her new world is not a scary place. She will probably have a setback at first going into a new place, but from everything we are learning about her, she wants to have fun! Maggie just needs to gain trust in you. She is super sweet!
*Minimal alone time
*A big plus would be a nice green space for her to play. We know not everyone has fenced acreage, but she would LOVE an area for running!

This is why we want MAGGIE to have other dogs in the home! As you can see, she LOVES playing with other dogs at Peaceful Pets in Elverta!

MAGGIE is learning to trust new people. She is very sweet, and shows no aggression at all. Maggie is housebroken. To make her transition to a new home a good experience for her, we are asking the following:

*MUST HAVE AT LEAST ONE OTHER FRIENDLY, COMPATIBLE DOG.

*A LOT OF PATIENCE! She will initially be very skittish, and unsure of new people, sounds, and a new routine. But we can see, she really wants to have fun and trust people, and this comes with time.

*LITTLE ALONE TIME. At least while she is new to the home and until she is comfortable.

*UNFORTUNATELY WE NEED TO SAY NO TO FAMILIES WITH YOUNG CHILDREN OR CATS.

MAGGIE is still looking for her new family to share her life with. She also shares Pup Cups!

**Her new family needs to be very patient with her. She is currently working on confidence building skills at Peaceful Pets, and doing great!

**Little alone time, and a nice green space to play would be a big plus!

**No small children. She may be ok with them, but she is nervous with new people and things. We feel best to go into a home without small children for now.
