Someone's officially got some bragging rights! 🐶🏅🧡

A big congratulations to this handsome pup and his people on earning their Canine Good Citizen ribbon!

This is such a great accomplishment because the skills involved go beyond the training room. Learning to stay calm, respond to cues, and behave appropriately around people and everyday distractions can make a huge difference in life with your dog.

And we love that this was a team effort! Every training session, every bit of practice at home, and every small improvement helped lead to this moment.

Seeing our Zoom Room Iowa families celebrate accomplishments like these is one of our favorite parts of what we do.

Way to go, you three! Keep up the amazing work! 🐾👏

Two ribbons, one proud pup, and a whole lot of hard work! 🐾🏅🧡

We absolutely love getting to celebrate moments like this at Zoom Room Iowa!

Behind every ribbon is a dog parent who showed up, practiced, stayed consistent, and helped their pup build the skills and confidence needed to succeed.

Training is about so much more than teaching a dog to sit or stay. It's about building communication, learning to work together, and creating a stronger bond that carries into everyday life.

And judging by this picture, this adorable pup is pretty proud of those accomplishments too! 😂

Congratulations to this awesome team! We love getting to be part of your journey and can't wait to see what you accomplish next.

Those little paws are officially headed to school! 🥹📚🐾

We have a new student joining the Zoom Room West Des Moines family, and we couldn't resist celebrating with a first day of school picture!

Starting training while your pup is young is a great way to introduce good habits, build confidence, and help them learn how to navigate the world around them.

Of course, nobody expects a puppy to have everything figured out on day one. There will be distractions, plenty of excitement, and probably a few moments where being adorable takes priority over listening. 😂

That's all part of the fun!

We're here to help puppies and their people learn together, celebrate progress, and build a foundation for all the adventures ahead.

Welcome to the Zoom Room family, little one! We can't wait to watch you grow. 🧡

Someone has officially earned some bragging rights! 🏆🐶🧡

A HUGE congratulations to Mozzarella W. for completing Agility 2 at Zoom Room West Des Moines!

Agility training is such a fun way for dogs to challenge themselves, build confidence, and strengthen their communication with their people. From navigating obstacles to learning how to stay focused and follow directions, there's a lot of teamwork that goes into reaching this milestone.

And judging by that big smile, Mozzarella seems pretty pleased with this accomplishment too! 😂

We absolutely love getting to celebrate moments like these. Every class, every practice session, and every little breakthrough adds up to something worth being proud of.

Way to go, Mozzarella! We can't wait to see what you accomplish next. 🧡🐾

Someone has a pretty good reason to smile today! 🐶🎓🧡

A big congratulations to Lyla Jane S. on completing Obedience 2 at Zoom Room West Des Moines! 🎉🐾

Getting to this point takes practice, patience, and plenty of teamwork between a dog and their person. From building better communication to practicing focus and obedience around distractions, every class is another opportunity to grow those skills.

We love celebrating milestones like this because we know how much work goes into them, both in class and at home. And judging by that adorable smile, Lyla Jane looks pretty proud of herself too! 🥹

Way to go, Lyla Jane! We are so proud of you and cannot wait to see what you accomplish next! 🧡

A little balance, a little focus, and of course, a tasty reward! 🐶🧡

This pup is putting in some work on the balance equipment, and those treats are making the experience even better. 😂🐾

Exercises like this are a fun way to help dogs practice body awareness, coordination, and confidence as they learn to navigate different surfaces and movements.

At Zoom Room West Des Moines, we love finding ways to make learning fun and rewarding. Every little success is an opportunity to build confidence, and sometimes all it takes is a wobbly surface, a patient pup, and a few delicious treats. 🙌

Look at that proud face! 🥹🐾🧡

There is something pretty special about seeing a dog and their person reach a training milestone together, especially when it comes with some well deserved ribbons!

Earning AKC Community Canine and Urban CGC recognition represents more than knowing a few basic commands.

These programs focus on the kinds of manners, focus, and reliability that help dogs navigate everyday situations, from being around other people and dogs to handling different environments.

And behind every accomplishment like this are plenty of practice sessions, patience, consistency, and teamwork between a dog and their owner.

We love getting to celebrate moments like these at Zoom Room West Des Moines. Watching our pups grow in confidence and seeing their people so proud of them is one of the best parts of what we do.

Congratulations to this awesome team! 🎉🐶

Now THIS is what practicing around distractions looks like. 😂🐾

Dogs, toys, balls, people, and plenty of excitement happening all around the room, while everyone works on staying engaged with their person and practicing the skills they have been learning.

At Zoom Room West Des Moines, we love creating opportunities for dogs to practice in an environment that feels a little more like the real world.

Because staying focused in a quiet living room is one thing, but listening when there are other dogs and exciting things nearby is a whole different skill!

Group classes help dogs build confidence, practice self control, and learn how to settle even when the environment gets a little busy.

And we have to give some credit to the owners too. There is a lot of patience, consistency, and teamwork happening in this room! 🧡🙌

Zoom Room is pleased to announce some impressive business results: two consecutive quarters of double-digit same-store sales growth, with Q3 reaching 18.2%! We’re proud of the progress—and even more excited about what it means for the future. We’ve come through this chapter with a stronger business model, stronger franchise partnerships and a clear path for growth.

The pet services market is a massive and growing category, yet dog training remains highly fragmented with significant white space. Zoom Room offers a highly differentiated, membership-based concept positioned to capitalize on that opportunity.

For savvy, business-experienced investors looking for the right concept, the right time and a brand stronger than it’s ever been, this is an exciting opportunity to take a closer look.🐾 The future is looking pretty bright (and pretty furry)!

Now THIS is what practicing around distractions looks like. 😂🐾

Dogs, toys, balls, people, treats, and plenty of excitement happening all around the room, while everyone works on staying engaged with their person and practicing the skills they have been building.

Training in a group setting gives dogs the opportunity to work around real distractions in a controlled environment.

Those are the kinds of skills that can carry over to walks, outings, visitors, and everyday life together.

A little controlled chaos can make for some pretty valuable practice. 🧡

First day of school deserves a picture. 📚🐾🧡

Starting training early is such a great opportunity to build communication, confidence, and good habits together. It is not about expecting your pup to know everything right away.

It is about learning together and creating skills you can keep practicing at home and out in the real world.

We love seeing the whole family get involved in the process too. This little pup already has a pretty great training buddy by their side. 🥹

Welcome to Zoom Room West Des Moines. We cannot wait to watch you grow!

POV: You spent months training your puppy…only for them to wake up one morning like, “Sit? Sorry, have we met?” 🐶😂

✅Yesterday: Nailed every cue.
🍁Today: Deeply invested in a leaf.
❓Tomorrow: Honestly, TBD.

But here’s what’s really happening: Your dog hasn’t forgotten their training. Their adolescent brain is still developing, hormones are shifting, emotions can run bigger, and the environment has become way more interesting. When excitement, frustration, or uncertainty rises, accessing familiar skills becomes harder.

💡Pro tip: Be careful not to create a poisoned cue. This happens when a word like “come” or “sit” is repeated, pressured, or followed by something unpleasant so often that your dog begins associating it with frustration instead of success. Say the cue once, lower the difficulty, and reward the response. If the cue has already developed negative baggage, introduce a fresh word and rebuild it through short, positive practice sessions.

The training is still in there…no cap. Your teenager just needs patience, consistency, and a little help finding it. 💯

Low-key trained. High-key left alone during the fourth quarter. 🏈🪴Adolescent dogs have energy, curiosity, and a remarkable talent for finding their own entertainment.

💡Pro tip: Before settling in for the game, give your dog a training session, enrichment activity, or sniff-filled walk. Meeting their needs helps set them up for success.🐾

“Why is that boot lowkey giving villain energy?…I’m gonna need some treats before I process this.” 🐶

🗓️ Yesterday: totally fine.
🗓️ Today: that yellow boot is clearly suspicious.

Adolescent dogs can experience new fear periods, causing familiar sights, sounds, or objects to suddenly feel unfamiliar.

💡Pro tip: Give your dog space, pair the scary thing with something positive, and let them investigate at their own pace. Never force the interaction. Confidence grows through choice…not pressure.

Your “teenage” dog is collecting data. Yes, they’re taking notes. 👀📝

During adolescence, dogs might start experimenting with what works.

✔️Jumping gets attention? Noted.👀
✔️Barking makes you look over? Interesting.🤔
✔️Pulling harder gets me there faster? Filing that away.📂

Every interaction gives them information..

➡️ I did this.
➡️ Something happened.
➡️ Should I try it again?

That’s why consistency matters so much during this stage. If a behavior sometimes works, even accidentally, it may be worth repeating.

Our job? Make the behaviors we want to see more often work better than the ones we don’t. Reward the check-in. Reinforce four paws on the floor. Make coming when called worth it.

Just remember…they’re not just “testing you.” They’re just learning what works. 🧠🐾

09/04/2026

We’re about to tell you to throw your dog’s breakfast on the floor.

No cap. It’s called scatter feeding..and behavioral science is here for it. 🔥🧠

Instead of serving their entire meal in a bowl, scatter some kibble across a safe space and let your dog sniff, search and forage. Why? Sniffing and foraging tap into natural behaviors, provide mental enrichment and give that busy adolescent brain something productive to focus on.

Give the nose an assignment before the teenage brain creates one of its own. 👀😂

💡PRO TIP: Start easy. Choose a quiet, safe space, scatter the food and let your dog follow their nose. As they get the hang of it, you can make the search more challenging.

And pay attention: if your normally food-motivated dog is too distracted or overwhelmed to search, that’s information, too.

Sometimes enrichment doesn’t need to be complicated.

Scatter. Sniff. Search. Reset. 🐾 Indian Trail Zoom Room 👏

🚨 EVERYONE REMAIN CALM. OUR SOCIALS HAVE NOT BEEN HACKED. 🚨

We have, however, made the questionable decision to take creative direction from a few Gen Alphas during our September “Teenage Phase” campaign.

So if you see words like mid, sus, delulu, or no cap popping up around here… congratulations. You’re learning a new language with us. 🤣…and yes, all slang remains under the watchful eye of Certified Professional Dog Trainers. The lingo may be questionable. The training advice isn’t.

But in all seriousness, adolescence is an incredibly important chapter in a young dog’s life. It can bring big feelings, selective hearing, new fears, testing boundaries, and plenty of moments that leave pet parents wondering, “Wait… what happened to my puppy?”

They’re still in there. They’re just growing up. 🧡

Throughout September, we’re here to help you understand what’s happening, why it’s happening, and how the right training and support now can help build confidence, strengthen your bond, and set your dog up for success well beyond the teenage phase.

Welcome to the chaos era. We’ve got you. No cap. 🐾
