Yesterday, we spent the day with Catia and her folks and "cheer" was the word of the day for this kid, although she stays busy with so many different activities. It was a great time hanging out with the Wilsons for the day and creating some memorable images!

I enjoy spending time following my senior clients around to their different events and watching their successes. It is truly an honor and privilege to be able to do that. My daughters' dance recital is always extra enjoyable, but a challenge finding that line between photographing my own kids and putting the camera away and "taking it in" as a proud parent. With a Texas Two Step that resembles an ugly game of Twister, I am not a dance expert by any stretch of the imagination, but I have to say they seem to get better and better every year. This shows me they are putting the work in and remain dedicated to the art.

One of our goals with our senior clients is to give them a great and memorable experience. I first heard about Mansfield Mayhem (the annual shoot) at the Ohio State Reformatory (Shawshank Prison) a few years back and it quickly went on my "bucket" list. One night a year, the Professional Photographers of Ohio host this event that allows you free reign of this historical and famous structure as you photograph. Yes you have some really visually dynamic prison cell blocks, but you also have some breathtakingly beautiful rooms as the gothic castle style of architecture seen from the outdoors. As you can see the outfits in the group picture (by Brent Watkins/Professional Photographers of Ohio), there are a variety of things you can do here while you are creating some great memories, experiences, and images. If anyone is looking for more info about this opportunity, feel free to reach out. I would love to see more people from our area experience this!

Some more images from the Ohio State Reformatory. This is our third year participating in this event and it doesn't get old. There are so many places to photograph inside and outside and the history really makes it a unique experience.

Another year at the famous Ohio State Reformatory (Shawshank Penitentiary) with a few new inmates. Huge shout out to the Professional Photographers of Ohio for putting on this event year in and year out. Your hard work behind the scenes is greatly appreciated and gives many an opportunity that otherwise would not be there! This is our third year coming here and it does not get old!

Today, in Yourd Gymnasium, I got to witness the 151st class from Clinton High walk the stage. You are now officially part of the history and tradition! Congratulations to each and every one of you! Have a great summer, God bless each of you and best wishes in your future endeavors!
