We are having YARD SALE at farm Saturday from 9-3. Multifamily with LOTS of different items. Everything from furniture, household items, lots of horse tack (mostly new from when we had taxk shop), kids toys, maybe a few clothes. None of us want anything left at end of day.

Pretty snowfall here in the hollow. Horses all tucked in stalls with blankets on and extra hay in their bellies for the super cold night. Supposed to be around 11 degrees here in the morning. Probably will be colder. Silly puppies are only ones wanting to go out and play!

Things are happening fast here now that we have made the difficult decision to close. Some folks we want to thank before we close:
Kayley Holloway - been boarding with us quite awhile, started a successful lesson and show program here at farm and been a good friend. Has been fun to watch her little ones grow up and become family.
Katherine Green - hasn’t been with us that long but quickly stepped in a helped with lessons and shows. She and Lyla have been fun to have around. Always been a good friend.
Isisah Helget - started working for us before he could drive. Has learned how to do about everything around the farm.
Brandi Mills - started off boarding with us and has become a second daughter to us. We look forward to watching her become the best vet possible.
Doug Foster - has been working for us seems like forever. Almost the whole time we have been open. We would be lost without Doug.
Otto Morgan - he has saved us all a lot of frustration and probably broken bones! He has worked horses for us all and gotten on horses that we were all terrified to get on. He has amazed us with his calm, gentle spirit with these animals.
I could go on and on, too many people to mention have made us the stable we have become. Newbies like Carrie, Gavin, Lyndi, Earl, Olivia, Samantha - on and on!
All and more will be missed seeing on a regular basis but hopefully we can all remain friends and still get together.

We have made a really difficult decision to close the stable at the end of the calendar year. We have had a fantastic time all these years but want to enjoy retirement while
We are still healthy. We will dearly miss all our friends we have made the last 20 plus years. Thank you for supporting us and being part of our Creekside family!

Our Story

Horse Boarding, Training and Riding Lessons

Creekside Stables is a small, family owned farm that has opened it’s arms to the Clinton, Powell, Oak Ridge, Karns, Rocky Top, and Knoxville communities. We offer full-care stall board as well as horseback riding lessons in Western, English, and Gaited disciplines.

Our lesson program was started many years ago, but blossomed in 2017 to include a locally competitive show team. While we enjoy the fun challenges that come with competition, Creekside emphasizes the teamwork and camaraderie shared by the students and their families.
