911 adoption needed. Lock in, this is very sad.

In February we posted Ivy stating that we needed to help her find a new home as the other dogs in the home were not accepting her. She loves them, they just don’t love her. Her owners were planning to keep her until a new home was found, but tragedy has struck and we no longer have time.

The young man you see with Ivy is Aiden Reams. On Sunday he was in a terrible car accident that claimed the life of his friend and has left him fighting for his own in the Critical Care Unit at Wake Med. The family has so much on their plate, we need to find Ivy a home NOW.

This sweet girl is shy, and takes a bit to warm up, but is incredibly loving. She loves other dogs, is great with cats, but does not do well with any birds. She is small—weighing less than 30lbs. She is spayed and microchipped!

She has an appointment tomorrow at Tram Road Animal Hospital (bless them for helping even with our $3k bill!) to get any updated vaccines she may need. We need your help covering the cost of that (even $1 would help!)

We need your prayers, well wishes, healing vibes, shares, positive energy, and support. Please be kind with your comments. Any negativity will be deleted and blocked. The Reams family and other family involved in this tragedy need your kindness.

In February we owed $5640, our founder has personally been paying it off and has gotten it down to $3887.87 since then.

Tram Road Animal Hospital has been so incredibly wonderful to us and our babies over the years. We would love nothing more than to see that balance clear down to zero!

While we are closed, we are not going away. We still have one pup left in rescue and one that still needs to be rehomed: King and Ivy. Ironically, they are actually brother and sister. We still are accountable for medical care until the last fur friend gets adopted.

Sweet Ivy has had a few months to settle into her new home and unfortunately the other dogs are simply not accepting her. To be clear: she loves them, they just don’t accept her.

“We love her so much, but we know another home is probably going to be able to offer her a better life. She’s a complete doll, so so sweet. It breaks my heart but I want her to have the best possible life. I know you’re closed so we will keep her here until we can find the right home for her. Could you post her again? She’s fully house and crate trained. We will give all of her items with her: bed, collar, leash, crate, bowls, etc.”

She’s good with cats, kids, and other dogs but she is not good with birds of any kind.

Well, it has certainly been a year.

We would like to give everyone who has supported us a gigantic thank you. You may see a post here or there in 2026 as we finalize the last of our adoptions, but for the most part we are closed.

The last $4,500 on our medical bill falls to our founder, Mags. She will a*o be covering any food items for Beetle, Zopa, Post Stamp Malone, and King for the remainder of their care.

Tram Road Animal Hospital has been a lifeline for so many of our sweet babies and we are beyond grateful to Dr Cynthia Davis and her staff for always going above and beyond for us. Shout out to Dr. DiPinto, Dr. Herring, Dr. Oglesby, Dr. Henry, and Dr. Martin for their support and expertise over the years as well. You are all wonderful!

Postage Stamp Malone would like you all to know that his forever home turned out to be a temporary residence.

He is looking for:

✅Other animals that like chill kitties
✅Room for 11pm zoomies
✅A parent that believes in wet food
✅Morning Yoga
✅A human he can groom and nibble (not bite)

Bonus points if you have an aquarium he can watch like NatGeo.

Unfortunately his previous home did not fulfill their adoption contract and he is not yet neutered (he will be very shortly!) and he missed his final set of kitten shots. They surrendered him back to us stating they didn’t see the need in neutering him since he won’t get pregnant and they can’t afford it. There is a lot we have to say about that, but there’s really no point now.

Postie will be available as soon as we are able to complete all of these (the Holidays have clinics really full!)

If Postie sounds like the man for you please send us a message. He is young, around the 9 month mark, and though he is shy once he warms up he is quite the character! He was rescued as a kitten from the US Post Office in Clinton, NC which is where his name comes from ❤️
