It was a little hot but we still had three for lessons this afternoon. The weather is gonna cool off next week and we have room for a few more beginner riders. Holler at me and let’s get you scheduled in!!

We’re having group lessons this Wednesday at 7:00 PM at the Clinton Rodeo Arena. $20 per person. PM me if you want to come ride with us.

A clients horse had a serious accident at their barn and it brought to mind something we don’t ever think about until you need it. We have a plastic bin that has all of our emergency supplies in it that can be stored and always have on hand the the rest.
Here’s a list of what we keep around:
Apple cider vinegar to clean wounds
Crushed black pepper to put on fresh wounds to stop bleeding.
Baby diapers to use to cover wounds and abscesses on the legs and hooves
Cotton gauze
Vet wrap
Duct tape
Saline solution to flush eyes
Bute
Underwood’s wound solution
Baking soda
Corona wound cream
Antiseptic spray
Silver spray

You never know what’s gonna happen so always be prepared. As we all know a horse can hurt themselves in a padded room.

Hey y’all this is. I want to brag on one of our sponsors for WORC, 100X Equine. We have a client horse with some nerve damage that affects the left side of her face. Always get your horses checked out to make sure they are ready to start under saddle. Waiting until they’re ready may be hard but it can add years to their life.

Don’t underestimate the importance of your horses teeth care! If you haven’t had your horses teeth looked at and maintained by a professional, now’s the time before show season gets into full swing!
