Please help us welcome to the team Ky Murphy
I’m Ky Murphy, and rodeo has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. Growing up in the small town of Lake City, Colorado, I learned the value of hard work and riding for the brand early on. I’m currently living in Olathe, Colorado, where my love for rodeo continues to drive me forward.

My passion for rodeo really took off when I discovered the world of rodeo queens, where I could combine my love for the sport with my love for rhinestones and style. In 2019, I was honored to be crowned Miss Colorado State High School Rodeo Queen, and I went on to place in the top 15 at the national pageant, competing against talented girls from around the world. I continued competing at the collegiate level at Colorado Mesa University, where I earned associate degrees, and I’ve been a top 10 regional finalist for two years straight. Rodeo has taken me all over the country, and I’ve loved every second of it.

This journey brought me to where I am today, as the first runner-up for Miss Rodeo Colorado 2024, and it’s been an incredible ride. Rodeo is more than just a sport to me—it’s a lifestyle and a community that I’m proud to be a part of, and I can’t wait to see where it takes me next.

Introduction

Based out of the Western Slope of Colorado, Latigos Up, a division Rocky Mountain Royalties,Drill Team was started in 2018 by Alisa Martin. Originally named Rocky Mountain Royalties, our team was formed to satisfy a need to ride consistently, perform, develop relationships with other equine lovers and have fun! Recently our catch phase at the gate before running in was “Latigos Up!”. We liked the energy behind the phrase so much that we decided to rename the team.

This talented and dedicated group of riders from many disciplines enjoy energizing the crowd with their unique routines and high octane music! We are close group of riders that consider our team family. We believe in making a difference in our community and building each other up.

RMR Latigos Up looks forward to performing in rodeos, parades and drill competitions. We are a precision drill team that performs choreographed maneuvers to music and we have so much fun!
