🐾 𝗠𝗮𝘆 𝘄𝗮𝘀 𝗮 𝗯𝘂𝘀𝘆 𝗺𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗵 𝗮𝘁 𝗣𝗼𝗼𝗳𝗲𝗿'𝘀 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗲! 🐾

We had 𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗲𝗲 𝗰𝗮𝘁𝘀 𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿𝗴𝗼 𝗮𝗺𝗽𝘂𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 in May, and we're happy to report that all of them are recovering well.

🧡 𝗚𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘆 – a stray from the Rio Grande Valley
🩷 𝗠𝗮𝗴𝗴𝗶𝗲– a nursing stray who was shot here in Cleveland
💜 𝗔𝗺𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗮– who was living outside a Dollar General in Shepherd

Despite everything they've been through, these cats have shown incredible resilience. Their amputations have given them a second chance at a comfortable, pain-free life, and they continue to make progress every day.

We're especially excited to share that 𝗚𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘆 𝗶𝘀 𝗮𝗹𝗺𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗱𝘆 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗮𝗱𝗼𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻! Since his surgery, he's started coming out of his shell and becoming more confident. One of his favorite activities is climbing the cat tree to watch the birds outside. Having three legs isn't holding him back from enjoying life and discovering new things.

Thank you to everyone who supports our mission and helps us provide life-saving medical care to cats who otherwise wouldn't have a chance. Every donation, share, and kind word makes stories like these possible. ❤️🐾

Can you believe this little fluff ball was found in a ditch right here in Cleveland? 🐾

Kitten season is in full swing, and we're running low on kitten food—especially canned food. Donations are greatly appreciated and help us continue caring for kittens like this one.

Help us find Asuki her forever home! 🩷

Asuki was one of our very first Colony Ridge rescues over a year ago. She came to us as a kitten and has been waiting for a home ever since.

Asuki is a sweet, playful girl who loves bird-watching from her perch. She has also lived in a foster home with a Chihuahua and did great.

Asuki is:
☑️ Spayed
☑️ UTD on vaccinations
☑️ FIV/FeLV negative
☑️ Dewormed
☑️ Microchipped

Please share and help Asuki find the family she's been waiting for. 🩷

We found this little kitten this morning under a mobile home after someone posted asking for help. Unfortunately, they had to leave her behind in Colony Ridge after finding her there last night.

As heartbreaking as today has been, it reminds us how quickly things can change. Had we not gone looking for her, we never would have been in the area when we came across the dog trapped in a water-filled ditch, suffering from a devastating spinal injury.

Sometimes rescue feels like being in the right place at exactly the right time.

She is safe now—warm, fed, and no longer alone. While today ended with both joy and heartbreak, we're grateful we were able to be there for both animals when they needed someone most. ❤️

We have a very sad update on the dog we found lying in a ditch filled with water earlier this afternoon.

After rushing him to the veterinarian and having X-rays done, we learned that his spine was broken. His injuries were catastrophic, and there was no possibility of recovery. The kindest gift we could give him was a peaceful goodbye, so we made the difficult decision to have him humanely euthanized.

We are absolutely devastated.

We have no idea how long he had been lying there paralyzed. What we do know is that he wasn't alone at the end. He was safe, warm, and surrounded by people who cared about him.

No animal deserves to suffer like that. While our hearts are broken, we are grateful that we found him when we did and that his final moments were filled with compassion instead of fear and pain.

Run free, sweet boy. We are so sorry this world failed you. 💔

Thank you to everyone who donated and shared our original post. Your support allowed us to get him immediate veterinary care and ensure he did not suffer any longer.

UPDATE: After reviewing his X-rays, we made the heartbreaking decision to have him humanely euthanized. 🌈💔

While we were out rescuing a stray kitten, we came across a heartbreaking sight.

A dog was lying in a water-filled ditch, unable to get up. We believe he may be paralyzed. There was no way we could leave him there.

We're on our way to Porter Animal Hospital and will be doing X-rays and diagnostics to determine the extent of his injuries.

This was completely unexpected, but when an animal is suffering, we do everything we can to help.

Urgent donations are needed to cover emergency veterinary care.

Please keep this sweet dog in your thoughts. We'll share updates as soon as we know more.

We love getting updates from our adopters! ❤️

Bernie is doing so well up in Massachusetts, and seeing him happy and thriving makes our hearts so full. He was such a special cat, and while we miss him, there's nothing better than knowing he's living his best life with a family who loves him.

Keep living the good life, Bernie! 🐾

Welcome to Poofer's Place, little ones! 🩷

We recently made a post searching for a foster family for these babies, and we're so grateful that someone stepped up. Because of that foster's generosity, we were able to say "yes" and bring them into rescue.

Many people don't realize that finding a foster is often the difference between helping and having to turn animals away. Every open foster home creates space to save more lives.

Now that these kittens are safe, they'll need veterinary care, vaccines, and eventually spay/neuter surgeries before they're ready for their forever homes. If you'd like to help give them the best start possible, donations of any amount are greatly appreciated and go directly toward their care.

Thank you for making rescues like this possible.
