Our favorite neighborly house hippos in training are expanding their world 😍😍

Benelli, who rules the Salley household from the couch, is raising some beautiful puppies. Cane corsos are powerful, intelligent, and, from these parents, goofy partners. Just like a beauceron, they require fair expectations and a sense of humor to raise a fantastic companion or sport partner.

Happy Birthday, Ugie!!!

3 years old looks good on you. We couldn't be more impressed with your drive, focus, reliability on stock, and pure zest for life. We are looking forward to a year full of sheep and scent now that he's passed all of his CHIC testing.

The biggest thank you to the people who made him - Květa and Alena. As his sire is deceased and Ugie is one of his only offspring, their trust to raise and love this special boy means the world.

After his second round of testing is done in a couple of years, he may be available to limited outside approved bi***es.

We are thankful to the judges who keep finding our young, promising boy. He has one more show before he goes home to hang out with his sire and start exploring more performance venues with Lee.

Special thanks to Ashleigh and Rylee for introducing him to this world and welcoming him in as one of their own. Their partnership and collaboration is invaluable, especially since they won't let us pay them!

Uka, owned by Moon's End, has been a guest of the BDV program for a couple of years, spending time with Erika, Jin, and Robyn to reach certain goals and lounge on a variety of couches. She's beloved by us all for her enthusiasm and accidental creativity. This is a girl that's full of joy and we're really proud of the dog she's matured into.

Whether we live close together or hours apart, we take joy in socializing and raising our puppies collaboratively. From pairing with confident role models during fear periods to just letting them romp and wear each other out in ways only beaucerons can do together, we love our diverse little family.

Meet Jin!

BDV is a network of collaborators, led by Jin, Robyn, and Erika. We're hoping to take some time to highlight our amazing team over the coming days starting with Jin.

"I was born into a family of professional dog handlers and trainers, so growing up I spent most of my time traveling from show to show and hanging out with the dogs. I started showing dogs myself when I was 5 years old, and never looked back. While I love many dog sports, conformation shows will always be one of my favorite things to do with my dogs.

Around 2015, I began researching Beaucerons with the idea that I might want to have a higher drive dog to pursue other sports with. In 2018, that idea became reality when I brought home Omen- who would become the very best service dog, show dog, sport dog, and all around goofball companion I could have asked for. Omen also led me to some new friends through the breed community, and, eventually, those friends and I decided to build a program together.

Today, you'll often find me at shows with a Beauceron or five! While I only have two Beaucerons of my own, Omen and Zira..."

Sully joined the BDV crew at the herding trial a couple of months ago, adding HT to his name. He's enjoying being back at the homestead in Georgia with a couch to lounge on and teenage puppies to raise.
