The many faces of Stella, our sweet senior lovebug and the inspiration for the Wildcat brand. Not only is this stunning bobtail beauty our go-to model, she’s also the co-creator of our signature Canyon Bed, a product our customers have called *the* cat bed of all cat beds.
I originally had the idea for the Canyon Bed when I realized due to her arthritis pain, she no longer liked to sleep in her regular spots. Instead, she wanted to cocoon herself in places like the dip in piles of blankets, so I started designing a bed form that would give her that same adjustable body hugging support. Add in the fact that it had to durable enough to withstand both biscuits and barfing (yes, it’s 100% machine washable!), I figured hey what the heck, let’s also make it something really beautiful for me to look at if I’m already going to so much trouble. 😹
Stella has been my loving little sidekick now for almost two decades, and in the past few years working on Wildcat she’s been by my side day and night as I worked bring this idea to life, diligently testing products and offering head butts of encouragement. I’m so happy this bed finally exists and has given her - and now so many other kitties!! - so much comfort. Even ones who have never used a cat bed before, which was my ultimate goal!! 💗
