Yesterday we said goodbye to one of the best. Emme DeVarona Thank you for sharing your boy with us for years.

For years we have watched Shep and Emily defy odds. As a team we rehabbed him back from a career ending injury and watched him absolutely conquer their show ring goals with Emily.

Sheppy was a challenge, a chronic cribber, studdish behavior but a social butterfly. Through careful management he was the happiest, easiest horse to have around. He brought so much joy to the barn and was a resident show team member. He loved horse showing, he had the same spot on our trailer every time and was always so happy to go. His loss will be felt deeply throughout our entire barn.

A truly idiopathic case of colitis, developed into gastroenteritis and finally catastrophic laminitis. We are obsessive about preventative care so this illness really shook us. It came absolutely out of no where.
Our team noticed Shep feeling unwell and he was immediately sent to Peterson Smith where he had the absolute best vets working around the clock to stabilize him for nearly 2 weeks. He fought so hard.

While our entire team is grieving, our hearts go out to his heart human and person who loved him tremendously. Emily, Thank you for giving him every chance to fight and for making the hard decision to let him go. Thank you for loving your horse the way they all deserve and thank you for trusting us with his care for so long ❤️ RIP Shep buddy 💙

We’re so proud of this team! They have been training with us separately for years, building individual foundations from the bottom up. A few years ago Sandy purchased Beamer from within the barn and their journey together began. It has been filled with careful training decisions and plenty of ups and downs but mostly a lot of hard work. A 6th place for USHJA HOTY for their division is such a huge accomplishment that we are so proud of. Thank you for trusting us with your training, Sandy! And of course extra carrots to Beamer, the quirkiest guy there is with a very dedicated team behind him.

Shep enjoyed his snacks, naps, & cheered on his friends.

As always, everyone thoroughly enjoyed their post horse show roll as soon as they got home. Shep being the most passionate, having to roll multiple times🤣 & Mojo is thrilled to be back with his “dogs”!♥️

Thankful for another great show. We’ll be back soon WEC!😎

Stephanie did a great job helping baby Ray gain confidence in the show ring.

Roman thoroughly enjoyed a well deserved day off with all of the snacks😂

And a huge congratulations to Emily for a beautiful round with Shep in the $10,000 derby! This pair has come SO far & we couldn’t be more proud of their success!🥳👏🏼

Very happy to report all is well at both of our locations post hurricane Milton. That storm was a beast! We are very fortunate to have minimal damage to our properties along with happy & healthy horses. We are still without power at one location, but thankfully we were very prepared for this! We can wait patiently & comfortably as our linemen are hard at work. Very thankful for our first responders & linemen for putting everything back together!❤️

Our hunter crew had a fantastic weekend getting some training in to prep for WEC! Baby Ray was an absolute rockstar for his second show ever & Shep marched around like a seasoned pro😎 Both brought home great ribbons including the win for the derby🥳👏🏼 So proud of these pairs!
