Labor Day weekend is the perfect time to enjoy some sunshine, good food, and quality time with the ones we love—including our four-legged family members! ❤️🐶🐱

Before the festivities begin, keep these pet-safety tips in mind:

🔥 Keep pets away from grills, chemicals & other hazards.
🌭 Keep unsafe foods and drinks out of paws’ reach.
💧 Provide plenty of fresh water and a cool, shady spot.
🎆 Give pets a quiet, comfortable space during fireworks and large gatherings.

A little preparation goes a long way toward keeping your pets happy, healthy, and safe this Labor Day! 🐾

🍁 Hello, September! 🐾

Hello, September! 🍂🧡 While we may not be reaching for sweaters just yet here in Florida, our pets are still ready to enjoy everything this time of year has to offer!

September brings a little less summer, hopefully a few cooler days ahead, and plenty of opportunities for walks, snuggles, outdoor adventures, and quality time with our favorite companions. 🐶🐱🐰🦜

As we head into a new season, it’s also a great time to make sure your pet is up to date on wellness care, vaccines, parasite prevention, and routine health checks. Florida pets need year-round protection from fleas, ticks, mosquitoes, and other pesky parasites—even when it doesn't feel like fall! 🌴🦟

Here’s to a happy, healthy September filled with sunshine, snuggles, and lots of wagging tails! 🧡🐾

If your pet suffers from allergies or you have a pet that enjoys swimming to keep cool this summer, ear cleanings can be a helpful way to prevent ear infections from occurring.

👂 Watch our quick tutorial to learn the proper way to clean your pet's ears at home!

Regular ear cleaning can help reduce wax buildup, remove debris, and may help prevent ear infections in pets that are prone to them.

A few important reminders: 🐾 Only use a veterinarian-approved ear cleaner. 🐾 Never insert cotton swabs or other objects into the ear canal. 🐾 If your pet's ears are red, swollen, painful, have a foul odor, or there's excessive discharge, skip the cleaning and schedule an exam—these can be signs of an ear infection that needs veterinary treatment.

🔥 Today is Pet Fire Safety Day! 🐾❤️

Did you know that pets accidentally start hundreds of house fires each year? Taking a few simple precautions can help protect your furry family members and your home.

Here are a few fire safety reminders: 🏠 Remove or secure stove k***s to prevent curious paws from turning on burners. 🕯️ Never leave candles unattended—consider switching to flameless candles. 🔌 Keep cords tidy and pet-proof your home to reduce fire hazards. 🥣 Use stainless steel or ceramic water bowls outdoors instead of glass bowls on wooden decks. 🚨 Place a pet rescue alert sticker on a front-facing window to let first responders know pets are inside. 🎒 Keep a pet emergency kit with food, medications, medical records, photos, and emergency contact information. 🐕 Make sure your pet's ID tags and microchip information are always up to date.
