Tri-County Animal Shelter - Clearfield, Ky

Current Dogs available in 2025 at Tri-County Animal Shelter located at 2450 Ky Hwy 519, Clearfield, KY 40313 - just outside of Morehead, KY. All dogs must be spayed/neutered upon adoption before they leave the shelter, the adoption fee ($100 check or card) covers this, as well as microchipping, rabies and parvo/distemper vaccine, and deworming. Many are strays that we do not know any background information on, if you have any questions please call us at 606-784-4930, or come visit us! We are open 7 days a week 8am-3:30pm.

We currently have three dogs with partially sponsored adoption fees.

*Karev has been adopted*

Their adoption fees are $25 each…all three have already been spayed or neutered, vaccinated and microchipped.
-Karev is a male, Rhodesian Ridgeback/Mountain Cur mix. He’s estimated to be around 10 months old. Karev can be a little reserved but is very friendly once he gets to know you.
-Mint is a female, Border collie mix. She’s estimated to be around 6-7 months old. Mint has a lot of energy and would do best with an active family.
-Valley is a female, Elkhound mix. Shes estimated to be around 1 year old. Valley can be shy at first but loves people. She is also well mannered on a leash.

Please consider stopping in to meet Karev, Mint, Valley, and all our other adoptable dogs.
We are open 7 days a week (except holidays) from 8a-3:30p. We do close from 12-1 for lunch.

ADOPTED!

Meet Indy!
Indy has been at the shelter since 2/22/25. Indy is a very smart, friendly and playful pup.
She loves attention from everyone but absolutely adores kids.
She would be perfect for an active family that would let her tag along for long walks or a trip to the dog park.
Her adoption fee is $50.
She has already been spayed, vaccinated and microchipped. All she needs now is a fur-ever home.
