🐾 Our First Official Round of TNR Cats! 🐾

We’re excited to share our first official group of cats going through The Clear Lake Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) program (now known as the "New Hope for Alley Cats"! ❤️

This is just the beginning, but it’s an incredibly important first step toward helping manage our local feral cat population and giving these cats a healthier, safer future.

✨ Trap. Neuter. Return. ✨

By spaying and neutering community cats, we can help prevent unwanted litters, reduce the number of cats struggling to survive outdoors, and make a meaningful difference in our community.

We couldn’t do this without the support of everyone who has donated, volunteered, shared our posts, or simply cheered us on. Thank you! 🐱💚

This is only the beginning, and we have a big goal ahead of us! Together, we can make a difference—one cat at a time. 🐾

🐾 Meet the very first kitten rescued through the Clear Lake Trap & Release program! This little guy is only about 6 weeks old and had a rough start to life. When he first arrived, he was under the weather and in need of lots of TLC, but we're happy to share that he's now starting to thrive! ❤️

Because he's still too young to be neutered, he isn't ready to be returned as part of our Trap-Neuter-Release program. Instead, we're looking for a loving foster home or, even better, a forever family to give him the safe, happy life he deserves.

If you've been thinking about adding a kitten to your family or are interested in fostering, we'd love to hear from you! Every kitten we can place in a home is one more life changed for the better. 🐱💙

Support your local Clear Lake Trap & Release Program! 🐾

Our local feral cat population continues to grow, leaving many cats without shelter, reliable food, or the veterinary care they need. Together, we can make a real difference.

Our goal is to spay and neuter 100 local feral cats to help reduce overpopulation and improve the health and welfare of our community's cats.

Every donation, big or small, helps provide life-changing care. Thank you for supporting this important cause and helping us create a healthier future for Clear Lake's cats. 🐱❤️

There's nothing quite like a puppy puddle! 🐶💕

We had the pleasure of spending time with another adorable litter yesterday as they came in for their wellness exams and first vaccinations. These sweet pups were full of kisses, wagging tails, and plenty of love...especially for our pant legs! ❤️

They're off to a healthy start, and we can't wait for them to bring so much joy to their new families. Thanks for letting us be a part of their journey!

🐱 Let's Talk Litter Boxes!

Did you know that many litter box problems can be prevented with the right setup?

Here are our top recommendations:
🐾 Have one litter box per cat, plus one extra (2 cats = 3 litter boxes).
🐾 keep the boxes clean (preferably scoop them once a day)
🐾 Place litter boxes in quiet, easy-to-access locations.
🐾 Most cats prefer large, uncovered boxes that are NOT automated. The litter box should be at least 1.5 times you biggest cat's length too.
ith unscented litter.
🐾 Use unscented, clumping litter.
🐾 Wash the litter box regularly and replace litter as needed.

Our best recommendation is to use a large tote instead of a commercial litter box. The long, flat ones meant to slide under a bed work great! You can use one with higher sides too and an entrance cut out if you cat has a tendency to fling their litter about too.

If your cat suddenly starts urinating or defecating outside the litter box, don't assume it's a behavior problem. Medical conditions such as urinary tract infections, bladder stones, arthritis, or stress can all be the cause.

If your cat's litter box habits change, give us a call. We're here to help keep your feline friend healthy and comfortable! 💚🐾
