One click could save your dog's life. Below is a list in alphabetical order to make it easier for you to understand dangers that are lurking in your yard. I can't tell you how many calls I get with dogs eating the leaves are the actual fruit or the actual flower that has sent them to the veterinarian with possible life-threatening conditions. If you know, then you know. If you don't know, then you don't know. It's worth taking the time for that little fur baby that you love.

🐾 Dog food contains fats and oils. These fats are sprayed onto the kibble to add nutrition and flavor.

🐾 The fats leave a residue. When kibble sits directly in a plastic container, oils can build up on the sides and bottom, even if you can't easily see them.

🐾 Fats can become rancid. Over time, exposure to air, heat, and light causes fats to break down. Rancid fats can make food taste bad and may contribute to digestive upset.

🐾 Bacteria and mold can grow. The oily residue left behind in the container can harbor bacteria or mold if the container isn't thoroughly washed and dried between bags.

🐾 The food bag is designed to help protect the food. Most dog food bags have a special lining that helps keep out moisture and slows fat oxidation.

A better method
✔ Put the entire bag of dog food inside the storage container.

✔ Roll or clip the top of the bag closed after each use.

✔ When the bag is empty, wash the container with warm soapy water, rinse well, and let it dry completely before adding a new bag.

This way, the oils stay mostly in the bag instead of coating the container, and the food stays fresher longer.

Many veterinarians and pet nutritionists recommend storing kibble in its original bag inside an airtight container for this reason.

I will never pay to go inside Indianapolis zoo anymore. Everything there looked sedated. If they weren't just laying there, they were skinny, ribs showing or not even seen at all. A lot of the areas were empty and stated that the habitat was not available at this time. The lions were so skinny and they just laid there. The chimpanzees were absolutely devastatingly depressing. They were knocking on the wall and reaching their hands up as if they wanted you to pick them up. And looking back at their keepers. I'm sick to my stomach. The alligators were just floating in their area not even moving. They were either fake, or sedated to the point they couldn't move. I'm disgusted with humanity. I couldn't even take a lot of pictures. I'm just heartbroken.

This is Winston. He is 21 years old. His energy level is off, and his looks have changed a lot in the last two weeks. Please keep this boy in your prayers. I know I can't keep him forever. I know he's getting ready to break my heart. He also has a girlfriend here that is much younger than him LOL and her name is Grinch. It's going to kill her as well. Don't call the authorities, she locked herself in this huge standard poodle crate and this is why my puppies are nicely socialized. Thank you Wiley.
