Beth just called, this boy Tanner is at the vet right now. As you can see, he needs help. We have no idea what his bill will be, or how many visits he is going to need. He has several issues going on right now, the worst being this wound

I have provided the veterinarian information, donations for Tanner can be called in directly to them or they can be sent through PayPal

This is Beth. As usual, I apologize for the lack of updates. I will try and cover everything here ... quickly.
Things have been really tough here. We have lost five dogs recently ... Pacer and Molly being the last two. Molly was our Buddy 's (Loving Buddy) sister. We have also been in the vets office with a multitude of issues, so I haven't had a lot of time.
Poppy has been diagnosed with cancer and will not be with me much longer. I am looking at days ... not weeks so I am spending every available moment with her. She is 13 years and has become friends with H***h. He is SUCH A PUPPY ... and doesn't understand why she doesn't want to play ALL THE TIME.
Millie is doing better ... but still has a lot of issues to work through.
And on a really unhappy note ... the little puppy with the broken jaw did not survive. While I cannot prove what happened to her face and jaw, I believe I know ... and I believe I know WHO! I will leave it there since I do not want anyone else to feel as helpless as I do.
I want to thank all of you for your ENDLESS support. If anyone would like to donate to assist with our ever-mounting vet and cremation bills, it would help a lot right now.
Also: we can always use canned dog food from our wish list. That is not usually available when we pick up our dog food.
We are also in DIRE need of "Pooper Scoopers." I added one to our Amazon Wish List.

Thank you for your love, support and prayers. I'm so sorry to always be in such a rush. I actually have friends Patty, Mark and Debbie doing my grocery shopping these days because I have no time to go. Thank you for understanding.

Good morning everyone

Beth is working on some updates but she hasn't been feeling well so she's a little slower than usual.
We just got notified that a food truck will be coming next week and we need to raise the funds to go get it. We are never sure of the actual cost until the truck gets in and they sort out how much there is. I would like to raise at least $400 in case we can get a good amount.

PayPal and venmo are the fastest way to get it to us

We have raised enough to purchase the trap, thank you to everyone who donated.
Hopefully we will catch her soon and see how bad off she really is

Thank you Kimberly Wick for the items received. Some people are having trouble ordering the bleach, it seems you can get around that by not ordering through the wishlist.

A big thank you to Julie Randall , Beau and crew and Anne Housley for the items we received. There were other deliveries including one from Walmart that didn't have any information on who sent them.
We still need bleach and Beth has tweaked the list to take off items that were doubles

Beth asked me to let everyone know that she's working on some updates but it's been a rough few days for her. In the meantime she has asked me to share the Amazon wishlist again. She is almost completely out of both sizes of the trash bags and the bleach.
She's also very low on canned dog food.
She wants to thank you all for your patience and she will get those updates posted as quickly as possible.

MILLIE UPDATE
This is Beth. Millie has been to the vet for her first visit. I am not going to even attempt to “pretty it up.” It was awful … for both of us … and I believe for Dr. Martin and her staff.
We went in and to the exam room without delay. I shared all concerns about Millie … things that may be symptomatic of issues we have seen in the past with other dogs. One issue, in particular, is a sensitivity in her tail. We were concerned that there may be nerve damage. (I am trying very hard not to be too graphic. I have images in my own head that I really do not want to pass on to friends. Once some things are “seen,” they cannot be “unseen.”) Millie followed the assistant back to the procedure stations with a resigned walk that immediately reminded me of other dogs on other days.
With each “heavy” step that Millie took my heart began to break in the same old places … those places that never heal totally. And, again, for the umpteenth time I wondered if I could go through this again. But … there really isn’t a choice, is there? The pain in Millie’s eyes has already given me the answer. Then I remember the glimmer of hope that has begun in those pain-filled eyes.
I saw Dr. Martin exit the room next to me and head back to the procedures room where Millie would be waiting for her. After just a few minutes, I heard the scream that will send chills through you. If you have ever heard a dog scream … that is a sound and a feeling that you will never forget. The scream was followed by several yelps. Dr. Martin is one of the kindest and most gentle people that I have ever known … so in my head I knew she would do nothing to cause harm to Millie. But my heart wanted to run back to comfort this precious girl whose short life has been filled with so much pain and horror. I dropped my head and closed my eyes. Later I would realize I had been clenching my jaw to the point where it would remain sore for an entire day.
It seemed like an eternity before Dr. Martin came in to talk with me. She had a pained look on her face that most likely mirrored my own. The bottom line was … she was unable to really examine Millie. I imagine those screams went through her heart just as they had mine, because she told me she could not get anywhere near Millie’s backside without triggering screams and/or yelps. She said that she had no way of knowing what can be attributed to pain and what may have been sheer terror. She finally gave up and just examined Millie’s “front half.” I fully agree that we need to give Millie just a little time to settle down and know she is safe before we push her.
Palpation of Millie’s “front half” did not give any cause for alarm. However, we do not know about the “back half.” And we are not sure about her tail since any “touch” causes yelps. I have been the cause of some of those yelps and I am worried it could definitely be pain. A more extensive exam can and will be done when she is spayed and under anesthesia. That will save Millie a lot of fear and/or pain. Helping her to feel safe is major right now. When I first met Millie, she appeared to be in heat … but I wasn’t sure with all she has been through. We do not want to schedule a spay until she is out of heat. And, if at all possible, we do not want to use sedation unless we have to. So hopefully, there will be no issues that cannot wait until she is anesthetized for a spay. We can and will keep her comfortable until then … and we will help her to understand her world is safe now. Dr. Martin has called to check on her. Everyone wants Millie to not only be safe, but to “feel” safe.
We waited for the results of a heartworm test … negative, thank goodness. (Her young age most likely spared her that problem.) While Dr. Martin did not do a f***l, we have wormer and will do the treatment since it will not harm her.
We have a follow-up appointment on April 15. I am not sure any of us are willing to go through the heart-wrenching screams and yelps again. So, if all is well (or as well as can be expected) we will schedule her surgery at that time. Of course, if there are ANY signs of urgency concerning her condition, we will be back in the vet’s office.

I want to thank everyone who has prayed for Millie and who has donated for her care thus far. Please pray all stays well until the spay. That will be the ideal time for all further tests. Millie needs the love and prayers all of you have surrounded her with. I will do my best to get “her story” done for those of you who want to read it. Again, THANK YOU.
We have no idea how much will be needed for Millie’s treatment and care. Unfortunately, we have seen far too much of this and know it will be a long, expensive process. If you can and would like to help it would be greatly appreciated.

Beth asked me to let you all know that she is healing pretty slowly from the broken rib, and that's why she hasn't gotten online recently.

We got the email today saying that a truck of the discounted dog food will be coming day after tomorrow. That's a great thing because we are running really low and we don't want our Denizens starting to look like this lol.
I want to thank everyone who donated to my birthday fundraiser, however those funds won't be available for another 45 days.
