Hello everyone!

The rollout of the online scheduling has gone smoothly (we have rockstar staff AND clients!), so 'exam' visits have been added to the appointment types available for request through the pet portal at https://petcare.vettersoftware.com .
Exam visits are intended for pets needing veterinary exam (or recheck) for injury, illness, or other health condition.

You can also download (free) the mobile app to your phone or tablet by searching 'PetCare by DaySmart Vet' in the apple app store or google play store.

As some of you have already found out, the pet portal is only available to existing clients, and only contains pets already on file with us. If you are a new client, or requesting for a new pet, you will not be able to do this through the portal.

These and other appointments can always be requested any time by calling us at 479-754-9090 or dropping a text to 479-754-8615. Texts and non-emergency voicemails received outside of 8am-5pm M-Fr will be reviewed after 8am the next business day.
If you have any difficulty with the portal or finding the app, let us know; we're happy to help you out!

Hello all!

Online appointment scheduling for wellness/vax visits and cat spays and neuters is now available through the pet portal at https://petcare.vettersoftware.com . You can also download (free) the mobile app to your phone or tablet by searching 'PetCare by DaySmart Vet' in the apple app store or google play store.

A gentle reminder that wellness/vax appointments are scheduled as such in anticipation they require less time than a diagnostic visit, and receive the discounted exam only if there is no extended veterinary consult or need for evaluation and diagnosis of injury, illness, or other health condition.

Good evening all. I am sure my asparagus will be a bumper crop this year after actual winter dormancy conditions, but would gladly sacrifice the extra harvest to do a hard pass on a repeat of the past week.

We are open regular hours 8am-5pm tomorrow (Friday 1/30).

Wednesday 1/28 we will be open for existing appointments, new appointments, and prescription fills. We will be short staffed and minus one veterinarian (Dr Josie), as some employees remain snowed in or still have bad road conditions where they live.

As always, it is entirely up to you to determine your ability to navigate wintery roads. We are here to provide care for our clients and patients, but are happy to reschedule for your safety and convenience.

Hello everyone! We hope you and your pets are still safe and warm.

This is the Monday 4pm view of the driveway and parking lot. Heavily trafficked streets in town are still only partially snow/ice free, with many slick spots, particularly at intersections and shaded areas. I assume side streets and backroads to be less improved than that.

Tuesday 1/27/26: Employees have been directed to stay home. Dr Blake and myself will be at the clinic between 9am-4pm for clients who already have existing appointments or by appointment ONLY for clients who have pets with emergency needs.

It is ENTIRELY up to each of our clients to determine their personal ability to safely navigate winter weather traffic conditions. We are merely announcing someone will still be here to provide care for pets should there be need.

Hello everyone! We hope you and your pets are safe and warm.

This is the current view of the driveway and parking lot, and it is not likely to improve for a few days, so we will evaluate things on a day to day basis and post updates.

Monday 1/26/26: Employees have been directed to stay home. Dr Blake and myself will be at the clinic between 9am-4pm for clients who already have existing appointments or by appointment ONLY for clients who have pets with emergency needs.

I got chewed out by a client last year for this policy, as they interpreted it as us urging clients to keep their appointments regardless of weather and road conditions. This is absolutely not the case; our only expectation is the courtesy of letting us know for sure whether to expect you or to reschedule.

It is ENTIRELY up to each of our clients to determine their personal ability to safely navigate winter weather traffic conditions. We are merely announcing someone will still be here to provide care for pets should there be need.

Wanted to give everyone a quick reminder:

Our call number is (and forever will be) 479-754-9090, but as of today and going forward, the only number we will monitor daily for text communications is 479-754-8615 so be sure to use that one for all text communications.

The online pet portal is at www.petcare.vettersoftware.com
Visit it for vaccination history/ certificates, reminder due dates, to doublecheck a scheduled appointment date/ time, and refill requests (these are 'phasing' in and will not activate in the pet portal until the prescription has been filled at least once in the new system).

Hello everyone! We have had a very busy, very troubleshooting couple of weeks. Your patience has been greatly appreciated as we get comfortable (and ultimately quicker 😁) with this system.

I can't brag enough on our wonderful staff 🤩 and their dedication to adapting to and learning the ins, outs, and workflow of the new program.

A few announcements:

Our TCVS call number is still 479-754-9090, but we now have a separate text number 479-754-8615, so be sure to save that one in your contacts.

The online pet portal is active at http://petcare.vettersoftware.com; once you have your account setup/confirmed, you will be able to directly access your pet's medical history, vaccination records, past and upcoming appointment info, statement history, and more.
Account balances can be paid directly through the portal, also.

We have not activated appointment requests in the pet portal yet; the plan is to roll that out sometime in January.
We are already aware you may find the occasional repeat or the occasional omission when viewing the migrated records (pre 11/13/25) that were brought over. Rest assured we are still able to access those records in the old system should need arise.

If you have any trouble accessing the pet portal site, don't hesitate to reach out to us.

Reminders will no longer be physically mailed, but will be sent via email or text.
In all other areas (receipts, invoicing, statements, records requests, reports, forms, letters, educational materials, etc...), email and text will be the default but paper is still available on request.

We are looking forward to another year (our 31st!) providing veterinary care for your pets, and appreciate your trust in choosing us to continue doing so.
