Hello everyone. Although I am getting better I’m just not there yet. I’m going to aim for Thursday of next week to begin taking small dogs again. Also, I did see an amazing surgeon that did have proper schooling and I am finally getting my kneecap. It’s been over a year that I have been suffering with immense pain every single day. Pushing through to bend my knee with all that fluid on a daily. Finding zero help at doctor after doctor. Which is just insanity. But I have toughed it out and done the best I can to push as much as possible. It’s finally over. As of now I can no longer take big dogs. My surgeon needs the swelling and fluid to go down so I can get this fixed. My surgery date is November 4. I will be back for small dogs somewhere around 4 weeks later. I may or may not be able to ever take large dogs again. The earliest that would happen would be march and with approval. I have a lot of years ahead of me and I never want this to happen again. My life has been taken away for the last year and I’m over it. I’m listening to my doctor and taking a step back. No more big dogs. I’m sorry for those that truly count on me. This is a very difficult post to make. I feel such loyalty to my dogs. Especially the ones that have come from traumatic situations and are now doing amazing. I apologize. I truly do. But my health and family have to come first. I will be taking dogs around 30lbs or less as long as they fit in my raised tub. There will be no more bending and squatting for me for sometime. Once I am healed from this there will be no more multiple doctor appointments a week, no more morning waking up crying, no more sleepless nights, no more not leaving my house and my son will finally have his mom back. I will finally have my life back. We can’t wait. I’d also love to visit my mother without a wheel chair. And I will. There will be a couple of days before November 4 that I will have to go for multiple doctor appointments and exams in order to get everything prepared for the surgery. A lot of it will be done robotically so they need special scans for the robot. Thank you for reading this post. I wanted to let everyone know what was going on so you can plan accordingly. If anyone has any questions, please feel free to reach out.
